Yes, that's about the price now. I got mine for 2900 from low yat plaza last month.

Oh, sounds like a good price.
Did you get 3g?
I hope you're happy, any advice?

After spending a good few hours updating windows etc, this convertible laptop is working very well. It really is very good value at less than RM2,400...nothing beats it in the price range.

Halo, thinking to get a laptop with pen, comparing xe700 with surface pro, any suggestion? Surface pro i think 2399 n this i found selling 2280 in lowyat.

Apart from the obvious size/weight and format issues (surface smaller/lighter and more tab-like, xe700 more laptop), I've read that it's possible/easy to upgrade the ssd and wireless card in the xe700 if needed.

I've been using the xe700 for a few months and it performs well as a laptop - light, good keyboard/trackpad, nice screen, front speakers, and on the lap it's never hot as the battery and processor are in the screen section, not on your lap. I'm not a gamer.

As a tablet, it's just a little too bulky/heavy, but it's good to be able to use onenote with a pen (I'm not an artist so can't comment) and as a tablet once in a while.
I've not lived with a surface so won't comment (as too many people comment without living with a gadget).

I'm not sure if similar quality laptops (screen quality and processor) are available at the price, let alone the convertible/pen features.
