it is all depends on your luck too.

some user have better connection with E372 while others have better with ZTE MF680,..

so it is depends on many factor,..

Added on November 14, 2012, 3:08 ammy best take today now, it is connected to UMTS900 tower as UMTS2100 tower both in my area is down to 3G 384Kbps only

lucky still can use huawei E372 to switch UMTS900 + panel antenna + heatsink,..

result super stable too

in computer, best do safelyy eject first before unplug anything from usb,

finally my area speed is back after 2 days down

yea i get that sometimes too, IDM & real download speed which is a lot higher than most speedtest websites

i am using the swedish firmware. Umobile firmware is a lot slower. Yours is tre firmware how it perform in speed?

there's a few tricks ,

E372 also similar heat if u open the cover too

just leave the sim card cover open,.. use some fan to blow the air either to the side external antenna hole, or the other side Micro SD card slot,. it will help to cool the ZTE MF680 down,..

ZTE MF680 cover material is thinner then E372,. that's why u easily feel it hotter,.

there is no way to open the ZTE MF680 front cover because once it open up, the second silver antenna will dettach and signal /speed both will go down tremedously,

no matter how i try to pin the silver thing back on the board without cover, it will wont work,.. so only can use with front cover close

nah, the cover wont melt la, not so serious, just that compare with E372 cover, zte cover easily feel hot than E372,.

but when both modem open cover, the inside temperature is exactly the same HOT,.

well last 3 days i am facing some tower issue in my area,

until now my speed is back on track,.

so may be is your tower issue, as maxis capped speed = 128Kbps only

though maxis capped speed is standard 128Kbps ?

maxis change new policy ka ? 256Kbps ?

from maxis new BB plan T&C:

it might be your area tower issue,..

as i face this issue for last 3 days,. and then today is fine

I also have tower issue days ago. Because i try with all my device. And all of them is the same. So is impossible that all my device break down at once. So confirm is tower issue. Then just now 6pm everything automatic back to normal like before. Weird huh?

hope the 3G support is not buggy after new firmware been flash update

TL-MR3420 V1 + ZTE MF680 + Panel + TS-9

ts-9 is a convertor connector to connect your zte mf680 to panel antenna. After adding the panel, the high speed is super stable now.

my zte mf680 is 3 set. Official firmware no longer available due to i flash with Tre swedish firmware. And i can't find any link for official 3 firmware. I tweaked it to 33tx. The Tre swedish firmware is working fine for me.

speed is fine
