QUOTE(blacktubi @ Nov 11 2012, 03:35 PM) Modem tweaks and etc Forcing your modem to the higher speed 3G 2100Mhz» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « WARN : Ensure your modem support the frequency. Malaysia 3G is 900/2100Mhz!900Mhz : Better signal penetration. suitable for countryside or low signal area. Maxis don't run DC-HSPA+ on 900Mhz therefore it is slower. Celcom and DiGi seem still lacking behind. 2100Mhz : Maxis only run DC-HSPA+ on this frequency. Just run MDMA and click Band Config, it is pretty straight-forward The settings will be saved even you unplug and use it on your PC Forcing your LTE modem to the [B]least congested LTE frequency» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
- Only works with modem support dual band LTE
- Signal doesn't matter, signal is not directly related to performance, you want to pick the best tower not the higher signal but congested one.
Just run MDMA and use the Band Config function, the settings will be saved on the modem even when you use the modem on router. Anyway to force my ZTE MF680D to use 2100Mhz ?
