read from soccernet that Adebayor's was denied handshake or something by his ex-teammates in the tunnel prior to the game. Any more details on this?

QUOTE(Mie @ Nov 23 2012, 08:02 PM) somehow I'm quite disappointed when I read this news. good money, yes...but I remember circa 2006, Arseblog (i think) wrote something about how in 2013 when the current deal is over we can get rid the rather silly name which goes by the name 'Emirates Stadium' and replace it with- Ashburton Grove, or New Highbury when someone said the Board prioritize monies over trophies (fans), well there you go, the stadium is named in honour of our Cash God go figure |

QUOTE(Bellatrix LeStrange @ Dec 6 2012, 12:22 PM) i wont leave. sometimes, u do know people got a bigger paycheck but u got much more talent and can do more work. its up to ur passion, and what u want. theres i guy who always want to be at Arsenal, he will arrive in January. if any of our current players has the same personality as this guy~ not to spoil the party but yeah he did leave us to win trophies with the you-know-who |

Arsene said we'll bounce back
now I think I've heard that for like, 9000 times now? i think he should bounce his ar5e from the managerial seat instead and i'm starting to think that Henry's arrival in January has more commercial purpose than that of footballing reasons. perhaps they were experimenting with it last season and then they found out that Henry's 6 weeks stint managed to rake in big fat dollars from shirt sells and whatnots...sigh well whatever happens Arsenal will always be the club that I support, but definitely not this sheitty slow moving, tame and clueless Arsenal |

QUOTE(joe405 @ Dec 14 2012, 08:57 AM) Iain Macintosh (football writer): "Wenger is not bigger than Arsenal, but Arsenal are bigger because of him." true, but it's time to move on i guess.the infamous back four from Graham era is a thing of the past now the great double winning side of 97/98 is a thing of the past now the great invincibles side is a thing of the past now and the great Arsene Wenger...you get the drill i can't really understand what Wenger wants now nor what's in his head. when we moved to Emirates he said we can no longer play quick counter-attacking football due to the larger pitch but blardy hell, didn't we just lose to Swansea from their counter-attacks? then he changed our game to possession football. it worked, peaked in 07/08 where we could have won that season had the Eduardo incident didn't occur. still a good side with different style of play. bravo to Wenger, another magic from him BUT now...we are no longer a quick counter-attacking team, we are no longer a good passing team. more like a back-passing team with no end product |
