Hi i owned an ipod 4th gen, currently it`s jailbroken, but now i would like to go back to the original 5.1.1

I already to restore via itune with

restore downloaded from here

but keep receiving error 3194. Been googling high and low, change host file, doesn`t work, off firewall, updated itunes, etc ,etc

Anybody done this before ? Restore from 5.1.1(jailbroken) to 5.1.1(original)

because apple didnt signed 5.1.1 anymore.
u can only upgade to ios6 except u hv shsh blod for 5.1.1 and use tinyumbrella or latest redsnow jb tool to restore back to 5.1.1

i think since u going back to same firmware version, just restore to factore settings on phone would be better

it says

"Are you sure you want to restore the iPod to its factory settins? All of your media nad other data will be erased. and the newest version of the ipod software will be installed.
itunes will verify the restore with Apple."

Added on November 11, 2012, 11:16 ami check on tinyumbrella, apparently i have it shsh saved. but i am not sure if it saved from the original or jail broken version.

guess i just stick around until ios 6 gets better.

if you had saved the shsh blobs, you must run the server from Tiny Umbrella, then only open itune, shift+left click and select 5.1.1 firmware, without running the server, you got shsh also no use

edit: shsh saved from jailbroken or original is the same

well, if u dont hv any need to use google maps or any jb apps/tweak, just use io6.
