Bought my Xbox slim a year ago and haven't played it since March. My xbox is currently modded but not banned nor flagged. Just saying is Xbox Live worth it? Do you guys experience any lag? (using Unifi). Is there any region restrictions?

depend what type of gamer are u..if u prefer playing solo/single player than live are not that important to u..
if u like multiplayer and enjoy playing with friends such as halo series, CoD series, assassins creed multiplayer than its a must to have live and last time with my 1mbps streamyx hardly any lag playing multiplayer (except naruto multiplayer) This post has been edited by sirknieghf: Nov 10 2012, 11:07 PM |

No lag shit at all.
Trust, I've got a modded console but since then,it has been in my cupboard just to collect dust. Bought an original one because I like multiplayer-ing with other people. Its like..you have allies you don't know. So, I'll say,go for it. Change back to original. This forum is for unmodded Xbox 360..so, YOU MUST LISTEN TO US. |

Thanks, and yea Im going back to original. After viewing *ahem* forums, I don't need to change back as Microsoft can't read the custom firmware on the dvd drive.
PS: How much for a 1year Xbox Live Gold? |

You can find one in Garage Sales for RM100-120 for annual subscription. PS: How much for a 1year Xbox Live Gold? |

They don't implement the check doesn't mean they can't read dude. If you unfortunately got banned all your data on that console or associated to the consoles account will be crippled and your Gamertag will be labeled. You won't want that to happened to you if you playing Live.PS: How much for a 1year Xbox Live Gold? This was what people though in the 1st place when they got caught in Ban waves which affect millions of console. Remember that Microsoft never immediately ban a console but by slowly gather data to a console like yours. The usual rate for a year of Live Gold is RM160. If you can get a better deal it's your luck. I got my 14 months for RM120. If you got no plans to change the console, I don't recommend you to even start investing on Gold account. Your console will be proveb and you're waiting for that day to come. This post has been edited by navigator: Nov 12 2012, 09:47 AM |

I've never heard of going back to original once your console is already modded. Yes, like what Navigator said,Microsoft will slowly gather all the information and BOOM BANG! your data's gone and your console would be useless by then. Sooooooo

Sooooooo It's possible as you only need the original firmware. And yes I agree what Navigator said. Better off buying a 2nd hand console instead. Cheers. |

There are reports During CoD:MW ban wave that even if you replaced the DVD FW, one still get flagged & banned.Well, actually crippled console still can used to play games but they'll be unable to run on XBOX live, using other console function & share HDD data anymore even if you brought your HDD to other console. Basically means the console data will get isolated from the rest of the world. but the console itself still playable. Console Ban primary objective is to prevent user from performing unfair practice i.e. use cheapo games to earn achievement, alter game saves/achievement etc. You wanna play unauthorized game is still your call to M$. They don't really care, just don't go online. This post has been edited by navigator: Nov 13 2012, 07:08 AM |
