Set your dial on the left hand side of the camera at either S or M

Later on use the command dial on the right hand side with your thumb smile.gif

U1 and U2 is like a shortcut mode for you

For example you may want to use U1 for Portraits and U2 for landscape.. since both landscape and portraits uses different settings, the U1 will maintain the Portrait settings and U2 for landscape, its just a short cut! Just an example

1/100 is the shutter speed right? but i notice that higher the shutter speed light seems deemer.
currently i will adjust my iso according condition just i try to maintain iso as low as possible
*
Dear tongweng!

Yea its deemer because you are letting less light in to the sensor.. It seems you were not on Auto-iso and you were using manual mode for it.

Try looking in to this article and try to understand exposure biggrin.gif

Sometimes you have to use high iso during events that are poorly lit.. but at the end of the day you want a picture that is expose correctly smile.gif

*
Here's a lil advance.. Did you finish reading the link that I've sent? biggrin.gif

You can read this link to understand when to compensate your exposure smile.gif The camera's metre is not as smart as us unfortunately so they only see the image as 18% grey for a perfect exposure, maybe you can read this link for a better understanding

http://valeriehayken.com/photo-blog/exposu...18-middle-grey/

Solar flash?

Are you talking about this setup?

Buy lo tongue.gif Haha but you can DIY too!

I just got my 50mm f1.8D today. Are the portrait lens (prime lens) doesn't have VR function? vibration would cause so much blur on the prime lens

Darn, how to solve my shaky hands? sad.gif

Get an external flash and shoot at 250th of a second ":D your worries are gone

It's safe no worries and the lockers are quite huge.. I think I've kept a bagpack before, can't really remember cause I've been to USS 3 times already and have brought all types of bags.. Anyways Enjoy and have a good time there! smile.gif
