if nikon, get d90 with 18-105 kit lens..will cost around 2.6k
i dun quite recommend d3200..bcz no body motor..

if canon get the Canon EOS 600D (18-135MM)=RM2700
or Canon EOS 550D Kit EFS 18-135 = RM2570

p/s: i find 18-105 and 18-135 lens very convenient compared to 18-55 lens as i don't need to go near to get tighter images..

if you are comparing between Nikon's 18-105/18-135/15-55, then no
if comparing between Nikon & Canon then different case

Correct, this issue can be fixed. Nikon acknowledged this issue when being interviewed at Photokina this year. Frankly, when I know my D800 has the left AF issue, totally no confident with the AF! Somemore I shoot with 35mm f/1.4G quite often! But now its all good, all the AF points is equal... just like it is intented... but of course the left and right AF isn't as consistent as the center 15 cross type.

umm..seems like D800 problem is very annoying....but the price for body for d800 so expensive and i thought it is better lo XD

Just the left AF system thats all, just a glitch.. if you can live with it its not annoying, plus its the best AF system in Nikon line up

Not a 'glitch', just Nikon's QC is rather disappointing. No call back or whatsoever from Nikon, guess they are just hoping users won't discover this.
