QUOTE(akcatzstudio @ Nov 11 2012, 10:44 AM) If not mistaken, D300s was about RM400+? I'm not too sure about this, you can try emailing Nikon for the quotation.QUOTE(gerald7 @ Nov 11 2012, 11:10 AM) cant recall exactly but it lasted one the whole morning. But we dont leave it ON always, jst when we needed it. Im also thinking of getting some LED ones as Im going into HDslr video. Roughly? 1 hour? 2 hours?QUOTE(Pro3363 @ Nov 11 2012, 03:49 PM) Guys, is this a good filter........? Seems like a good deal.......... Nope, stick to filters such as Hoya HMC if you're on low budget. Go for multicoat filters.http://shashinki.com/shop/77mm-ultraviolet...ce-p-10920.html QUOTE(seather @ Nov 11 2012, 04:46 PM) SB700 = ~RM950 (quoted 6 months ago la) Different LCD size I think, D7000 uses a 3" but the D600 is 3.2" like the D800.Sandisk SD i bought for ~RM90 2 months ago... but dunno the promo still on or not.... sud get D7000 punya GGS screen no? since D600 is a FX in a D7000 body QUOTE(Tony Stark @ Nov 11 2012, 07:49 PM) got my D800 yesterday..seems like 16GB card only gets me 200 RAW files lossless compressed..and 249 RAW files compressed..both 14bit.. Never did a comparison between both lossless and lossy before, but I remember seeing the lossless retaining more shadows details back then. (It was a D700 review comparing different NEF settings), should be applicable to D800 as well.looking to upgrade my CF and SD in a short while but just wondering..is there alot of different between lossless compressed and compressed? thanks guys! 16GB would get you a little more than 320 shots on 14-bit lossless NEF based on my experience so far. QUOTE(gnome @ Nov 11 2012, 11:00 PM) Bought my SB900 back in 2009, still using it! QUOTE(slimfox @ Nov 12 2012, 09:31 AM) That is true that is why I did mention "Poor Man's D7000" anyway its a good camera for the price. If budget is not an issue then even I would have gone for the d7000. My regular shop has been trying to poison me for a long time. Oh well, I still feel D7000 is a better purchase compared to D5100.But for me currently I figured I would rather spend my $ on lenses than another body. Added on November 12, 2012, 10:48 am QUOTE(Everdying @ Nov 11 2012, 07:54 PM) hmm new model. That Aputure 198C looks good, it is able to stack up unlike the Yongnuo.tho i guess 16 lvls of brightness is more useful for video. actually the one i wanted to get is the aputure 198c. 198 leds, around rm260, and can adjust the color temperature without using gels. tho not many have it in stock yet...some aputure sellers dont even know it exists. the yongnou li-on batt must buy with seperate charger right? so i guess about extra rm120. that led-5009 one is rm160 with the li-on batt + charger...how long it can last i dunno I'll ask around if this is available or not hehe. btw saw this.. the 198C and 198A can't work with all LED powered up... "Hi Pedro, the lux for the lights are as follows: AL 126: 673 lux, AL 160: 1245 lux, AL 198: 1325 lux, AL 198A @ 25 degrees: 734-913 lux, AL 198A & 60 degrees: 286-364 lux, AL 198C at 3200K: 321-407 lux, AL 198C at 5500K: 298-344 lux." The 198A/C LED isn't any close to the old normal 198 with 1325 lux! This post has been edited by celciuz: Nov 12 2012, 11:06 AM |

Thanks guys.. due to my noob knowledge i decided to just stick to the kit lens of the D7000.
Question about the warranty: Is it true the local set have 1 year local warranty for body but the kit lens is international warranty? Whats the difference? |

A image file size depending on the details captured, the more details in an image has larger file than an image with less details (for example many blown highlights). I'm not sure with the technical details on my assumption, but relatively I think this is how it happened. I can usually shots up to 800+ RAW files on my 16GB where it displays 500+ when it's empty. |

What I understand also is Nikon Malaysia don't honor the 'international warranty', so becareful ;-).international = anywhere there is a nikon serivce center QUOTE(Tony Stark @ Nov 12 2012, 12:06 PM) buddy, my CF card is empty (as shown on my computer) and i get 200 RAW shots shown on the display. The display didn't lie, the camera only estimate based on say 50MB per file but since you're shooting on lossless compression mode, files can vary from 40MB~75MB which basically throws the estimation off. I think if you shoot on uncompressed you would probably get about 200 shots?but thanks to u, now i know that the display is lying to me thanks again man. really good to have such experienced user here *kinda helps me in a way as most of my memory card sellers need to order the cards and it may take up to 2weeks time and i got an assignment this upcoming 17th..sigh* |
