did u keep ur note 2 s pen on the silo when u use the note 10.1 s pen on ur note 2 screen?
i try my old note s pen with my note 2 screen and it cannot detect my old note s pen... after did some research, u need to untick on Battery saving option... Setting -> S Pen -> Battery saving

Provided the kernel can be flash through odin. Otherwise you need to flash a proper CWM first.

Kernel can be through cwm or odin. You can use odin if you are on stock recovery. But bear in mind flashing custom kernel through odin increases flash counter.

3 main ways of flashing
1) Odin on PC -> increase counter unless its stock rom & kernel
2) Mobile odin on Device (its an app) -> NO increase in counter
3) Zip file (with proper updater script) through CWM -> NO increase in counter

Yes stock rom is odex. That mod need root.

Yes way way easier, and can add/remove app anytime.
