Gents. Not working. Tried the swipe and lift up few seconds trick. Both didn't yield any result. I saw the video. It is suppose to be sensitive and quick. Not sure why it is not working

You have activated it in the settings right. Just cover the sensor about 2 seconds and remove your hand.

Yes it is trigger by proximity sensor when the screen is off. Have you activated it in settings or not?
*
Where to activate it? Sorry. A bit lost in Android

why dont make your life and everyone else life here easier by you going to samsung store to test it yourself bring a set of all your pants to test until you satisty to the perfection. Pants sizes and pocket are depending on type and design. If shy samsung store find a friend to help you test if friends dont have make an offer to one of the members here some cash money or reward then get them to come out let u test. Everyone here can tell you how perfect it is but at the end you are not wearing our pants or the same size.

Hope this clarify your confusion

Roadshow is possible. Stores, most of them are wired to the alarm system. loose ones? need to buy only can break the seal.

Food of thought, Well he can organize a TT, probably can get majority to attend and share all their opinions.

I'm also happy with the stock rom.

btw, anyone knows how to create shortcuts to access the task switcher for android? I only manage to find one shortcut to access the samsung task manager. Don't want to long press the physical button. Paranoid it might wear out like Iphone.

Enabling Quick Glance will turn on the proximity sensor 24/7??
*
Yes and no. If Viber/skype or any other 3rd party app is running, proximity sensor will still run even when the quick glance is off. Happened to me..

Very funny guy

So it's not advisable to turn on the Quick Glance?
*
up to you. glance menu doesn't show much and i just want to prolong the IR proximity sensor, so it's off from me.

QUOTE(gensys @ Nov 12 2012, 01:41 AM)
Is smart stay and quick glance the same thing?
*
Nope. Smart Stay keeps your monitor on even during idle. it's suppose to look at your face and detects your eye. quick glance is when your screen is off you can activate it to have a quick look. Downside is it, only works when it's on flat surface. if it works when we take it out of the pocket or when the flip cover is removed, it would be gr8

hahah does make sense or else everytime u unplug for few minutes it bugging u non stop. Shake abit to show movement maybe u are walking away
*
Well, it's never a proximity radio sensor. Mr Samsung thought it would be better if it uses the gyro sensor to detect movement when the screen is lock.

Only S3 HDMI adaptor will work with note2
I have used it several times already
Just plug n play

Hi uncle. Did my usual holiday window shopping. Saw alot of shops selling cheap hdmi converter price 28-48 which will work on s3. Flipped to the back I noticed the compatibility stretches towards s2 note1 etc. Funny things was s3 is also in the compatibility list. It's this a false marketing or the converter is backward compatible.

Bought a cheap 9 ringgit micro USB cable to substitute the original cable (scared the white cable getting dirty) left the phone charged for the whole night. normally around <3 hours it will charge full. but upon waking up 3 hours later I observe only 40% increase. Swap back to the original cable, the results were much better. Man, is the charger that sensitive to cables?

Maybe ur cheap cable is usb1.0
Or its output very low amp
*
Nah. it's rated USB 2.0 high speed cable.

QUOTE(KuLi @ Nov 14 2012, 08:55 AM)
Its quite obvious isn't it?
The wire is unable to transmit the full 2A.
What I can't understand is that u spent thousands for the phone but skimp on the cable.
LOL
*
Maybe problem with the awg ratings.
I've actually purchased another original USB cable online, but due to unforeseen circumstances it was delayed. My thoughts of purchasing a cheap USB cable is to perform experimental comparison between the two. As we all know cheap HDMI v1.4 and expensive ones have no relative difference in signal quality. Furthermore I have plans to dissect the cable and fabricate a charging dock / portable power bank. Yeah, you can say why go through the hassle of making when you can just purchase it out from the shelf? well, some of us are a bit adventurous. Same reason why you like to try out custom rom.

Wrong.
Difference is much apparent in pq and sq.
Unless ur av equipment can not have the capability to pronounce the different quality.
LOL

Composite, component yes because it's analog signal. HDMI is digital. anyway we're going off topic here.
