This experiment is very interesting! Some people made composite photos of top celebrities from China, Japan and Korea to make three distinct male and female faces. Then they did an experiment to see if people could guess which ones were from which country! Which is your guess?

p.s. the Female and the Male photos are placed in the same country order, so if you think the left female is Japanese, the left male is also Japanese.




By the way, if you have already seen this photo please don't post a spoiler for everyone. This is an experiment to tell if we can really differentiate between the three races.

Korean - they have a pronounced single eyelid (although many Chinese and Japanese have single eyelids as well)

Chinese - they have more pronounced slanted eyes

Japanese - their facial features are more squarish/sharper compared to the Chinese

The Korean one was dead easy, I can recognized a korean male or female anywhere in the world.

The chinese and Japanese took a little time to decide. But eventually I decided the middle has a much rounder face than the right one, hence chinese.

Nowaday, all are same..

The Korean lady is easiest to recognize, based on the rounder eyes and the cuter mouth, the upper lips are thicker. The Chinese and Japanese ladies are more difficult to differentiate. The Chinese can be Japanese, Japanese can be Chinese.

As for the men, the Korean looks almost like the Chinese. But the Japanese guy is easier to recognize due to the eyebrows and eyes, more serious look in the eyes. A slight moustache line also adds to the Japanese look.

Anyway, are these photos photoshopped anyway?
