My dad will be turning 50 next weekend. I've been scratching my head thinking of what to get him, but I can't come up with anything. He's basically got everything laugh.gif
I thought of getting a pen, but that's too ordinary, don't you think?
I thought of getting him a pair of shades, but my mom told me he just bought a pair a few weeks ago doh.gif
Clothes are out of the topic, he's a big guy and I wouldn't wanna go through the hassle of returning/exchanging clothes if I happen to get the wrong size.

What would you guys recommend?
Budget: RM 250-RM 300

Thanks!

mine all ready pre-marinated and i sells sauce also, no more headache how to cook.

With our delicious Pre-Marinates recipes, you only needs to very simple steps to serve it.
1. Unpack from packing
2. Thaw/Defrost it in a very clean environment.
3. Heat up your pan & pour a little oil on it.
4. Place our delicious JayaBBQ Pre-marinates meats on the pan & cook it.
5. Ready to serve!

If I wanted replies like this, I would have posted in /k/ instead of serious /k/.

That shows that you dont really understand old man at your age.. Since you said that he already has everything, why bother asking even in serious /K. U asked a question, i tell u the best answer. I gave my dad that for his birthday and he thanked me...

Why I bother asking? Because I need to get him a gift, regardless if he has everything or not. I wanna get a gift for him, so why you butthurt? hmm.gif
Yes I asked a question, and you gave me an answer, not the best though, don't flatter yourself.

Now thank you for your response.
And cool story berah wink.gif

I was considering those already. Belt & Shoe definitely out, his physique is rather big.
Kalau belt tak cukup lubang, susah pulak. If shoe too small, susah also laugh.gif

Wallet might make a good gift.

a nice dinner at a place he probably has never been before is the answer to that.

if you're familiar with PJ area, take him and the family to carnaval. it's around where the old atria building used to be. link below:

There you go then! A bottle of 70cl - 1 litre good scotch whisky will be a great gift for a 50 year old who has 'everything'.
If he knows whisky, go for single malt like Glenfiddich, Glenmoragie, Highland Park (more readily available in Malaysia). If
he is just likes to drink, no matter what whisky, then Johnny Walker Black Label or Chivas Regal 12 year old would be a good
choice! Any good supermartket in KL/PJ should stock them. Or some wine shops.

Ask your mother or anyone who knows, what is the thing that your dad likes but he never want to buy it, or haven't buy it.
This will give him maximum happiness.

Why say pen is ordinary? There's a lot of symbolism in a pen. smile.gif

If he wears shirt and tie can consider cuff links and tie.

If u got brother n sisters why dont collect 300 each and buy something like galaxy tab 10". We bought a tab for my father n install scrabble n put old pictures in it.
Old man likes the childrens remember the old times. Always be around them.
For rm300 maybe u can buy a cheap tab. Put some picture in it. Next year buy a bigger version

Does he has a hobby, say maybe a liking for Zippo lighters, gemstones, Harley stuff etc. Buy him something that he likes. I believe, it's the thought that counts more than anything to your dad.
