Hi, this is NOT my planted tank.
i picked a few nice photos from IAPLC winners so beginners can understand how to arrange a nice planted tank.

P.S.: the plants are not floating. That aquarium owner use his own idea to create this nice aquascape.

hi,
it depends on what you want to plant. normally i would suggest buyers to get ADA new amazonia soil because it is nutrient rich and ideal ph buffer media.

can i know where you from? all the plants are suitable to post within whole malaysia. lets chat in details by pm. smile.gif

Super awesome seller. My road sense so cacat also he so patient to wait for me. He won't even keep the change since I felt so bad about it. Really nice guy. Would even still teach me how to manage the plants still instead of biting my head off.

Really good stuff he have. Lush green and thick.

Wow....nice thread.

I'm interested in having a planted plant tank with maybe some shrimps in it. Just a small/medium tank as I do not have much space in my apartment. Am a bit intimidated with all the requirements, e.g soil, CO2, etc. What would a low tech tank start-up cost be?

green spot algae is quite common problem.
you can get fast growing stem plants so they will absorb excess nutrirent before it is taken from algae.

hi,
it would be about 20stems for bunch.
yes, if they are long enough, then you can cut them into half and plant.
these HM is already converted into submerge form. it would be quite hard for you to grow them above water.

Hi,
Cardarmine Lyrata can order in next batch. Its Rm8 per pot
As for algea eater, depends on what type of algae you want to combat. For guppy tank, most probably you got green water only. As Birchir, try to get some that cannot fit into its mouth.

Hi Weijee

I would like to buy some plants but I am new to planted tanks. I did not have practical experience, just theoretical. Only dealt with fish aquarium before.

What I would like to create is a 2ft planted tank with mixed community fishes (small and medium size). Preferably without Co2 injection. What I have now is
1. 2 ft tank
2. 2 set of lights - 60cm Aquazonic T5 24x2 and 60cm TWIPS Led
3. Cannister filter of 400L/hr
4. OF Hydra 30
5. Airstone
6. Some stones

Based on above, some advise needed:
1. What choice of soil is best and volume needed (in litre) for a 2ft tank? I have some HELP Advanced Soil Plant but not sure whether they are good.
2. Choices of plant that's easy to care and did not require Co2 injection?
3. How to buy plant from you? Possible to visit your location.

I can be contacted at 012 6547162 (wa also can)
Thank you

Hi Abeye,

1. What choice of soil is best and volume needed (in litre) for a 2ft tank? I have some HELP Advanced Soil Plant but not sure whether they are good.
1 bag of ADA soil. other brand of soil doesnt have good nutrient for long term growing plants.

2. Choices of plant that's easy to care and did not require Co2 injection?
A lot can do without co2, anubias, crypto, some carpet, ferns.

3. How to buy plant from you? Possible to visit your location.
you can either use postage or just drop by my place at equine park, seri kembangan. it would be best to drop by if you need to buy soil.

PS, dont share your contact in public conversation smile.gif you can send me in msg.
