I have just done my 10K service at Sri Kembangan 3S. Decided to go there all the way from Damansara due to the fact that they have both Shell and Petronas engine oil. And i wanted to switch to Shell instead.

The result of the oil change was immediate! Again, it could be due to a fresh oil change and filter. But even my wife can tell the difference from the much smoother engine sound and pickup. Higher revs definitely sounds smoother and quiet.

Regarding engine sound as compared to others, I would say that I have comments from others sitting in my car and the first thing they noticed was the quiet cabin feel, apart from the tyre noise.

City drive 12L/100KM. Mine is 2.0 by the way.
Drove to Penang and back clocked at 8L/100KM

How so? What ratings have you collected?

I am very sure that 1.6 has better FC than the more powerful, feel free, flying, attack cornering, overtaking spec of the 2.0

my 2.0 forte 80% city drive and 20% highway i could get around 9.3-10L/100km... after 1000 service.
before the service was like 10.3-10.8l/100km.
it's quite reasonable lah... full tank filled up every time around RM85 and mileage clocked at 420km-440km. DTE more than 50km..
maybe JB has more smooth road traffic light lesser.

hello guys,, im just wondering, i just buy kia forte 1.6 ex 6speed.. so today i went to service my car and then i saw a 6 speed ex kia forte got paddle shifter.. so i just wondering is it possible to install paddle shifter to kia forte ex 6 speed?and if it is possible how much the cost? and where to install it? hope all sifu and otai can answer.. regards

my forte 1.6sx is 4 months old and 9000 km mileage now.

fc is always RM0.22-0.24/km in city drive (equivalent to 11L~12L/100km), short distance and heavy traffic in Penang island. Is it consider normal?

if combine with 30~40% highway + 60~70% city drive, i can get RM0.18/km (equivalent to 9L~10L/100km) only.

Yup... I've tried that... Both front door can be open even you lock it... I think it is more on the convenience purposes... But it can be dangerous...

Oh You are the TS choosing Almera, Vios and Forte?

As I told you, first thing when you get Forte, sell and change the Tyre and Rim. I heard can trade in RM1500. Then get lighter rim and good tyre probably.

This car is heavy and stable. That's why high FC. Cannot fight with Vios or Almera both are lighter about 1 tonne. This car 1.3 tonne with extra 300kg.

Most problem is left pull, and rattling sound. Not everyone kena. but can be fixed.
