Hello, guys

I'm a new owner of white 2.0 Forte.
Just got my ride on Monday 31/12/12 (only a day rides in 2012)..time moves really fast hmm.gif

Happily to drive such a comfort and sporty car. rclxms.gif
In overall almost everything is great. Cabin sound is great. Cruise control so cool due to its practicality. Transmission is smooth, less jerking.
Just need to get used to the electric steering (so do the handling). Apart of me still had a feeling that my previous Saga handling is slightly better during cornering. My car also suffered the "pull-to-the-left" syndrome, hopefully it'll be handled well after this weekend visit to SC. thumbup.gif

Your help is much needed.

Anyone encountered this windscreen crack just after a week drive?
Yesterday heard a sound like been hitting by a stone, come from nowhere (no car in front). cry.gif
I doubt it is bcoz of stone, is it possible bcoz of manufacturer defect? Why so soft then? rclxub.gif
Can I claim warranty?

Arrghhhhhhh!! Everyone deserve to drive with peace of mind.. doh.gif

my SA told me got 1 month windscreen warranty for manufacturing defect. I dont want to take a risk so i pay for windscreen insurance. paid extra RM150.
send your car to SC asap bro. good luck

Already send my car to SC, they put marking around the crack area and snap pics. Then need to wait at least 1 week for warranty claim process. yawn.gif
SC said can claim warranty if there is no stone-hitting sign (chip?-I'm not sure about the term). Now need to drive carefully afraid the crack will grower more and more. unsure.gif

150 only? covered how much? all six or front only.  hmm.gif

i pay over 200 covered all six..rm1800.
*
Me also covered over 200, but didn't want to use my insurance bcoz I'm pretty sure it's not coming from the stone. Will claim that if any emergency happen in future. hmm.gif

go dr.cermin, pump some chemical in to stop the crack from "growing"

but judging from your crack, it gonna cost you a bomb.

My crack, which is 7cm long is fixed at a cost of RM140.

Some will come and say other places can do this at a cheaper price, so you go from one shop to another to ask about la.
*
wahh! 7cm only cost you that much..mine more than 50cm.planning to go dr. cermin at first, but then better just wait for the claim.. yawn.gif
the SC said the crack might become longer, but wont break.
not sure can rely or not..just afraid it will break when driving.
very unlucky me

If the FC between 1.6& 2.0 is not much different, i wil prefer to take 2.0 which giv more power. But heard tat 2.0 FC is 10-12L/100km, is it true?
*
for me 10-12L/100km for city driving is true.but 8L/100km or less easily you can get on highway.. biggrin.gif

Kia's windscreen quite tough. Both of my dad's Kia has windscreen cracked before and both also the windscreen survive for 2-3 years before being changed. lol
*
lol..agreed, really tough indeed. cracked in a week.they should study more on the problem.not just by giving replacement then considered the problem solved already..this isn't good for a fan wannabe like me sad.gif
