most of the time i will use EDL to town or vice versa.
depends on timing sometimes. 

I just came back from JB and my FC is around 535km++ / RM90+- for highway and city drive in JB... is this consider good?

Want to ask about the Kia Forte or any Kia/Naza car. How the performance and maintenance after 5 years?

Currently I'm looking for new brand car and Forte is one of car that interested me. But, I want to use it for long term so can give me any comment regarding the Kia cars.

just wondering when you guys sent your ride for warranty claim and part (any) replacement, will the SC issue you a receipt or something that tell this xxxx parts being replaced etc comment ?

for my car 2.0sx, i can hear the sound of the engine when warming up it in the morning, but after a while i can hear the engine very2 minimal..
sometimes when stop at traffic light, can't hear the sound (may be beecose its already noise outside with other car engine).. of course you have to turn off the air-cond also..otherwise will hear the air blow-in the cabin.

maybe it's the engine oil or petrol. recommended petrol is RON95 or higher.
sometimes petrol will caused the knocking sound too.

but i would not ever ever go back to KIA JJ SC anymore as their technicians are too young.
Simply solved my minor problem and rev my car kaw kaw.. 
i will go to impian emas that SC give it a try.

i facing the issue after 1k km servis... before that so quiet... dunno what KIA pour when at 0 mileage...
after 2.9 years, now 44k km aldy... never bother about it... as long can hit 6.5rpm i'm happy enough...

Almost everyday I drive 50-50 highway & city. Traffic jam not so often.
If I'm not rushing and feeling like saving fuel, I can get around 7-8L/100km.
If I'm rushing or just simply feel like doing some spirited driving, FC would go up around 8-9L/100km

The key is using paddleshifters/semi-manual and monitoring the instant FC meter.
But I've seen friends in MyForte club getting 6-7L/100km for 70% highway.
Dangerous if you keep looking at it all the time. 
I do it in the same manner I glance at the rear view mirror & side mirror. Did you know that the safe interval to glance at the mirrors are 3 seconds? According to a safety training at my previous company lah. When driving, you look straight. Every 3 secs, you should glance to one of the mirror.
Of course I'm not that cermat to do it every 3 secs. Probably every 4-5 secs. And I just add the meter into the glancing list.

As for the temperature meter, I switch to it once in a while. At least once during a given drive.

there's one car wash (cant remember the name) offer me to be member for RM688. i got 3 times wash&polish (4 layer) free with this membership..

Best is 504km, RM84.44 (Shell)
Highway 60%, drive style relaxed. Fast drive once in a while.

Worst is 388km, RM84.45 (Shell)
Highway 80% but very spirited & the 20% City is in traffic jam all the way.

After 13 refuels, average about 450km per full tank (with DTE 40~50km).

Hello Mods... I'm a proud owner of Kia Forte 1.6SX 2012 here... please count me in...

I've been using my new ride since September (2012) and so far I have no complain on my FC... Of course expect a high FC on city (mine is 8.5 to 10L/100KM with 20% highway and 80% city)... just recently we've been to KL for vacation (I'm from Ipoh) with 3 adults and 2 children onboard with 2 large baggage on my trunks and on our way back to Ipoh from Suria KLCC I got 6.0L/100KM with 10 to 15 mins stop on R&R and with engine running. Here's a picture I took after I parked my car at home...By the way I'm not a heavy footer I always maintain a speed of 110KM/H at highway and seldom go to 130 to 150KM/H and that is only when overtaking 

FYI...I went for full tank at Caltex near Suria KLCC so as you can see the fuel gauge did not even reached 2 bar after I arrived in Ipoh 

I remember how i used to complain on very high FC,
Rm85, full tank less than 350km.
Because of how heavy footer i am.
Used to drive myvi 1.3 manual.
Thats why!

But now easily get 9-10+/100km.
Train really hard haha

Went to terengganu and return back to kota bharu last week, (not highway). Rm89, 450km+. Top speed 178km.

Becareful when changing ur Foglight to HID, it sorta melted the insides of my foglamp casing.. LOL...

Retrofit a projector when using HID, if not HID wasted and glare ppl..
