Wow quite expensive leh. Rm390 can get cdrive 2 and rm1800 can get advanti light weight rims.  I hope it's 17 inch you are talking.  If 16 inch then bloody expensive.  Haha

Added on December 24, 2012, 4:58 pm

Cdrive 2 is about rm400. For that price can get nexen or federal only.

Added on December 24, 2012, 5:00 pm

Boss your right leg Issit?  Mine now at 3k ady. Can do 460km at 85 Bucks easily.  Training my foot now.

Changed already..can not turn back..but I change to 205 50 17 tyre not 45 profile..haihh blush.gif
yup..its a lightweight rim 17"...i compare others 17" and stock rim, stock rim quite heavy flex.gif
Cdrive 2 he said 50 profile 390 but 45 profile much cheaper 360 I think.

but after all this changes, i feel worry if anything happened to car, can can warranty or not?? cry.gif

according to some other member's post, itz about 310-330 CDrive 2 for the size of 215/45/17
i suppose cdrive 1 will be cheaper??
*
i taught so...or maybe because 50 profile will make the price become higher??

Thanks buddy, I'll ping him for advice smile.gif
You mean it's UV+Security Tint or just Security Tint only?
May I also ask if you OR anyone else here have tried RhinePro before? Good heat rejection? Any comments/feedback?
Thank you.
Wah..quite expensive leh if the new rims cost you RM1800. But if it's lightweight and nice, worth it smile.gif
Also, how come the shop makan all four pcs of the original Forte sport rims for RM800 only? Seems like a little low to me... sad.gif
Anybody whom had experience trading in their stock Forte sport rims care to comment?

Added on December 24, 2012, 7:11 pm

If its 17" and lightweight, I think you got a fair deal bro.
You are absolutely right in the sense that 50 profile tyre is a little costlier than 45s.

AFAIK, the change of rims to one which is of the same size OR 1" difference from stock size, will not void any warranties. Anything more than 1" diff...I'm not sure smile.gif
*
For the RhinePro, I just asked the tinted man about the price. Not sure about the details but its UV + security tinted.

I hope what you said is true, made me feel relief a bit. The thing is the standard size as stated at door's driver:
215 45 17" <--- i changed this one to 50 profile. Feel like not standard edy.
205 55 16"
195 65 15"

yeah man. i read somewhere as long as you keep to the standard tyre size Naza will still provide the warranty if there is any failure on your suspension, breaking system and so on.. but changing to different size i'm not sure. Maybe Edwin can close 1 eye and claim for you if there is any issue? tongue.gif RM1.8k? lightweight? advanti rims?

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...1838&hl=advanti i think this is the most affordable ones.. the rest.. they are all about 9.5kg - 11kg... Those japanese rims are over over budget ady... All above Rm4k for 17".

Should get C-Drive 2 bro. It's better than C-Drive 1. But still both yoko tires are proven with a good track record unlike synergy m5!!!  laugh.gif

Added on December 24, 2012, 7:53 pmOh yah bro.. RM800 for ori rims trade in is damn good price! i only got RM400 from Hin Liong.. damn.. end up i took the rims back home and want to put as decoration liao now. hahahaha

bro your RM800 is rim with tires? or rim only? So total trade in value they give you rm12xx?

My tires trade in Hin Liong given me RM520.. RM140 each.. but rim the uncle say he got 3 sets cannot sell... so if take also will accept @ RM400 only. so i brought it back home lor. If trade in for RM800 it's pretty damn good. What I'm afraid is that he give you those xxxx brand rims and over charge you RM1800 for the extra top up money only. If you are getting normal 17" inch rim in Klang it's about RM1.2k - RM1.4k with discount. Those Advanti light weight rim would be about RM1.6k - RM1.8k ++ . Your Rim advanti light weight? Those posted up by Nestum is best value rims actually.
*
rim only rm800. tyre at first the shop want rm100 only..i push to rm120....so, trade in sell about rm1280.
maybe he marked up as he thought my tyres are V7 but M5.
You are correct about those prices of the rims..a lil bit pricey for wedssport lightweight.
You want to sell 3 rim only to Hin Liong??

no la.. the uncle work in hin liong say cannot give high for our forte rims... cause he still have 3 sets stocked up.  sweat.gif  only accept @ RM400 but their rims are all cheap i don't expect them to pay me RM800 from the very beginning. Hehe wedssport? hurmm never heard of it how many KG each side?
*
ohh i see.. not sure the KG but compare side to side with stock rim..feel very light than stock rim.
the comparison is like this (without tyre): wedsport 17" < other 17" < kia stock rim 17"
so, maybe other members can identify the KG's biggrin.gif

Hehe as long as got significant improvement in pick up / crawling speed i think ok liao. You should feel the crawling speed is much better. Hehe.

Oh yah! Anyone pumping BHP petrol? The petrol which claim to be one of the cleanest in Malaysia market so far.. My first tank... testing it and see how it works.
*
i feel no jerk..smooth in changing gear..but for speed i think cant see any diff laa because change from 45 to 50..
from tyre size calculator web page..if speed up 100km/h with 50 profile, the actual is 103.4km/h..after testing the new tyre and rim, feels like my front rim slightly hot. not sure if this same like stock rim before hmm.gif

i almost used petronas as it can give 1L for 12~13km..try shell before this, can give 1L for 11~12km only..
always used petronas as I hv the mesra card + maybank petronas credit card..can claim for double point biggrin.gif
but feel free to test BHP and give comment here smile.gif

I pump shell last two days, use shifter to buka the engine since new car laugh.gif drove for 150km, just drop one and the half bar.. What kidman say is true, i think need to get use to our legs on the accelerator as press and releasing often can cause FC..

Previously i drove manual, can judge base on gear, but auto not use. If press hard, it will drop gear to pick up. So i tried maintain constent speed and make sure RPM dont go above 3000..

Malaysia road is getting more horrible.. Everywhere lubang and bumpy road.. Just now night never see, went pass the hole.. Lucky not driving fast..

Any tyre expert here, who can recommend what tyre is good for 16' inch and how much the pricing? notworthy.gif

Merry Xmas to all my fortian and remember to jingle on the highway biggrin.gif
*
Just realize the top 2 bars fuel meter, very slow to turn down..centre to E alil bit fast than top smile.gif
After this will changed to 16..need to try to see the changes in handling and FC..after I get my bonus laa biggrin.gif

Some previous post said will not void warranty if you 'add wiring' and not modified the original wiring..maybe you should try ask you SA to confirm about this.

guys!! i need ur experience on my car prob.
after changed new rims and tyre 50 profile last 2 weeks, while i'm driving within range 60~80km/h, i heard "woooong"..."wooong" from my tyre/rim.
but if driving exceed 100km/h, the sound gone or slower.
I need to know this problem is it regarding one of this :

1) "bunga" tyre not balance ( QC due to filiphines made)
2) bloating tyre
3) bearing

or maybe other than that??
if bearing prob, i'm pretty sure i can't claim warranty at SC due to not original rims ohmy.gif

Hi bro, which part of Subang is this Sierra Glow Car Care shop at? Tq.
If you have cash to spare, get PIAA (Japan) blades. It'll last you at least 4 or 5 years (as long as you don't treat it like a barbarian tongue.gif) Cost around RM 150+-. I've a friend selling in his shop. Ori stuff. Let me know if u want it.
IMHO, it could be due to the thread (bunga) design.
It could also be your new rims not being balanced properly, which causes the buzzing sound during certain speeds/frequency.

Added on January 5, 2013, 5:09 am

Googled for NAZA's top guy number, but tak jumpa also.. Instead I got a million other numbered results sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif
*
Just went to the shop. you are right about the thread design.
They jacked my car and checked the bearing with me..I can see the thread of center line not balanced (front left tyre)..lari sikit (QC philiphines made tyre) vmad.gif
The mechanic asked me to test for 1 month to check if the buzzing still there, just come again to their shop smile.gif

but the shop owner said 50 profile not suitable for forte cause will damage the gearbox in the long run. anyone can clarify this??
i need 50 profile thick tyre cuz last week i experience my atlantis v5 'pecah' after i hit some pothole. i was thinking 55 profile actually. anyone tried??
*
wahhh...damage gearbox?? ohmy.gif
I already changed to 50 profile with sport rim..lighter than stock rim..suddenly butterfly in my stomach tongue.gif
but if you change to 55 surely you have to change tyre & rims to 205/55/r16..

Using my car for 10 days. 2 things want to ask:
1. My carboot little bit hard to close. Is it normal for new forte or it just mine. The sound also not as padu as closing persona m-line carboot

2. Power window (driver side only) having this "clack" sound when i try to pull the switch after the window is fully shut
*
For no 1. if you used auto car boot lifter (the spring), then it a bit hard to close..based on the spring setting..
If i'm not mistaken from previous thread, can set the rubber or this one just for bonnet??

the 5W is for cold start..the lower the better car can start at cold temp..
the 30/40 means viscosity (i think hmm.gif ) the lower the number, the thinner its become...

yes, previously i noticed it happened when decelerate after high speed at 100km/h... but today when i travel at 130+km/h continuously, i hear it even not decelerate..

i m still thinking want to send to sc, or jus leave it n continue to monitor...  icon_question.gif

yup has some probs..the rattling sound thingy on the dashboard and roof..but i ignore it..other is the sounds of new tyre (the thread issue)..
i think you just send it to SC and tell them..maybe they hv solution.
i didnt try yet speeding exceed 130+km/h blush.gif
