I went to Shakura for 1st trial on 22 Oct. It was a 3-hour session. After that, the consultant(Ivy) persuaded me to sign up for 10 sessions and said that my friend(Irene) had kindly asked her to give me a 50% discount for the package which was RM2800 after discount. Then she went out and came back to say that the manager is giving me an offer if I signed up for 20 sessions, she would give the set of skin care free as well. (She was pointing at the set in front of me which had more than 5 items) I hadn't had time to think, then i realised she had already gone out and swapped my card for RM5600 by installment. My mind was totally blank and stupidly signed the credit card payment of RM5600. I deeply regret and felt that I was cheated. I said to the consultant that the set of items were different from those she showed me. But it was a different story now cause they had already swapped my card !!! I called back a few times to complain. The manager(Sheila) even called me back. She told me on the phone that "Its not that she cannot refund me,... the 20 sessions will guarantee to do a good job on my pigmentation...blah blah...." Then she said she would give me another free bottle of mask and 2 extra sessions for free. And if I'm not happy with the treatment by Ivy, she herself would personally treats my pigmentation. Ok. I listened first. FYI, there is no explanation to state that what they are going to do in the 1st session, 2nd session....and so on. They just said sign up for 20 sessions because we have checked your skin and we are sure that your pigmentation will be removed.

So............. i went back on 3 Nov 2012 for my 1st session in my package. Saw the manager, the story changed again ......SIgh !!!!! How disappointing !! She said the mask was the one included in the package and it will be done during the facial (not the mask in a bottle)....and she DID NOT even mention the extra 2 sessions. She also said that another lady Karen will be taking over her position. She will be in charged of running between all Outlets. So, If she were to run between outlets, how is she going to treat my pigmentation ? In the end she didn't give me anything, and I left. I believe she was saying all these just for the sake of saying them, there was no guarantee whatsoever.

And then I read all a lot of reviews about this place and believe it or not, mostly negatives comments. How am I going to continue the 20 sessions, when I don't even feel like going back there again !!

Thank you.

Here are some websites you can read up about places like this. Yun Nam, London weightloss, New York Skin.....are all under the same company !!

Dont ever try to enter this. forever will remember this bad experience in my lifetime with shakura!

I bought the promotion package for this shakura facial with RM28 at their roadshow, ioi mall.
After that, they called me once a week to ask me make an appointment with them, I told them i was busy and need to arrange my schedule for facial. And one of the sales girl and return me in very rude talking.
Fine, after a week, a girl called me again and i was thinking quite a long time never do facial and would like to try it.

So i make a reservation at shakura, mid valley.
When i reached, one of the girl ask me to regiser with ic and afterwards asking me to enter the consultation room. Once i enter, nightmare begun, the girl keep forcing me to sign for member which cost RM560 without any facial treatment, and this cost just for member fee!
I said 'no' because i havent get to try any of the service and you want me to sign for member first?
She didn't give up, then she scan my face and with a shock face said my face got very serious problem, if i dont cure it then it will be very very bad.
She quickly asked me 'definitely you will be scare with it right, but dont worry, we shakura can help you.'
Then sell me with another facial package. One time facial, cost me for RM560 also, but because of i bought the voucher which cost RM300 with RM28, so i will get a discount price, RM560-RM300=RM260. I said i will like to try the package i bought first but the girl keep on forcing me to pay for RM260, she said if you dont buy this you will never get your face better. I keep on fighting with her for almost an hour, she keep on selling me with package only, RM260+RM28 only for a facial treatment, she told me is mixing for 3 type of enzymes, and i asked her what is the ingredient inside the enzymes, she told me it is cheese and milk.
I know it sound very weird but in the forcing situation i still pay for the RM260 just want to get this done.

After i entered the room, she help me to wash my face and do 2 times of mask, massage, altogether for less than 1.30hr only.
Then when i finished my facial, i dont feel any changes for my face also. She asked me to enter the consultation room again, and scan for after result. Then she keep saying the after result is very good, my skin became fairer and better. But I dont feel that at all. I said no and she keep on saying I dont know how to see forcing me to say yes, it is better.

After that ask me to buy their package, she said i need it because my face situation is very bad, the package
cost me RM11200, then 40% discount as i signed for member, it will be RM6720. Then i said no too pricey for me. Then she gave me another package with ten time facial, RM3360 and then til the end RM1680.
I said no, i need to think of it first. The girl keep saying it is very worth and you will never get this package again.
Keep forcing me to buy the package, said just use your credit card then you will settle everything.
I was forcing myself dont say yes, and until the end she cant persuade me to buy the package then she use my RM260(payment i made before) to sign up as a membership.
Then finally i can leave this blood sucker place! It took me 4 hours just for consult and forcing you to pay the money, facial only took less than 1.30hr.

After i went back home i felt i so stupid why i pay for RM288 just for one time very normal facial.
So listen to me, dont ever enter this scary place, they want your money only.

Common Sales Tricks Beauty Spas use on you + Review of New York Skin Solutions

Hey beauties, have you ever gone for a complimentary beauty facial session in Singapore? If you have, you would know that there’s no free lunch in the world. Such a session would typically end with a lengthy sales session where you’ll sit in a room facing a persistent sales consultant. Yes, she wants you to sign up for their beauty packages typically in the ballpark figure of a few thousand dollars.
(Image source: Home | Beauty galaxy salon)
In the world of business, there’s nothing wrong with such an arrangement. They give you free trials, so that they get a chance to speak with you and showcase their products and services. But what if the beauty spa crosses the line? What if they mislead you into buying something you wouldn’t have purchased otherwise? What are some of their sales tricks and what’s your recourse? This post will address these questions as well as feature a review on New York Skin Solutions, a beauty spa retail chain in Singapore.

New York Skin Solutions (Image credit: http://s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com)

Promotional Deals now come from Companies You Trust!
Ever since the enactment of the Personal Data Protection Act, I have been receiving more promotional deals from established companies that I deal with, such as the banks and telcos. Why? Because companies you dont’t have a relationship with are not supposed to contact you as and when they feel like it.
This recent bill statement from Starhub came with a deal that gave me a complimentary facial treatment atNew York Skin Solutions. Since my current beauty package is almost used up, I thought it was timely to start looking around for a replacement.

What’s Bad about New York Skin Solutions?

I hardly start off a review with “What’s Bad”. “What’s Good?” normally precedes that. But in this case, I really have nothing to contribute to that category.
Disclaimer: Below are my personal opinions based on my unique experience. Yours or others may differ from mine.

1. Long Registration on a Weekday Afternoon
I went during a weekday, office hour, which was the lull period for most retail establishment. I sat in a room waiting for what seemed longer than usual. After a long while, I was given a form to fill up. There, I indicated my skin concerns – quite a lot actually. I’d ticked about half of the skin concerns listed there, mainly related to skin laxity, wrinkles and enlarged pores. I completed the form within 3 minutes.
Then it was waiting and waiting again. I could see three staff at the reception chatting. Clueless about what I was waiting for, I started to notice that 30 minutes had elapsed. Is it typical for registration to take 30 minutes? Not that I have ever experienced, unless we are talking about Singapore General Hospital. By the way, I did come on time for the appointment.

2. Skin Analysis | I have obvious pigmentation that I couldn’t see
After the registration, a friendly and amiable consultant came in to perform a skin analysis. She told me that New York Skin Solutions was the best treatment for anyone – cheap and good. I was hopeful. By cheap, I would think the price should be below $100 because my current facial at a 4-star hotel that involves RF treatment costs around $150. We’ll see.
The sweet-looking consultant placed a device on different parts of my face to capture magnified photos of my skin – cheek, chin, forehead, nose. She told me about the loss of collagen on my cheeks, which I agree.
What was perplexing was when she looked at my skin with her naked eyes, and pointing out what she termed as “brown patches of pigmentation” on my cheeks and nose. “It’s very obvious”, she emphasized while I was trying to figure out where the OBVIOUS pigmentation was.

My Bare Face – no makeup, no photo-editing. You can still see some of my pimples. My skin flushes easily. If you notice, some parts of my face are red because of the high-strength 20% Vitamin C serum applied just before taking this photo.

“It’s such a big patch, look at it”, the consultant insisted before outlining the patch on my cheek with her finger. OMG, the brown patch that I couldn’t see was the size of a golf ball. I knew I flush easily when I’m hot such as during exercise. However, in that cool air-conditioned room, I really couldn’t tell any “obvious” skin sensitivity or discoloration.
“You also have brown patches on your nose.”
Perhaps, by her expertise, she really could tell something that I couldn’t. As you can tell, I was beginning to develop self-doubt. I nodded my head…..hmmmm…maybe I do have obvious pigmentation.

3. The Treatment “Room” wasn’t a room
After an hour, I was finally able to get started on the facial treatment. The staff led me into an area where “rooms” were demarcated by curtains. Officially, it’s not a room. It reminded me of a budget Thai massage parlour.
With curtains on the left and right of the space, there was no room for a basin or storage unit. Just a hook for you to hang your clothes, and that’s it.
I could hear everything going on in the neighbouring rooms – conversations, washing, staff placing their food orders, staff going in and out of rooms to access the common basins. What could make this space even more bustling was the Chinese New Year music in the background. As you can imagine, the music came with lots of heavy drumbeats. One song even had firecrackers. How “relaxing!” This is definitely not my definition of a spa, which I expect to be able to sleep and relax at the very minimum.
Also, during the facial treatment, the beautician would wash the cloth she used on me, several times. As there wasn’t any sink in the room and my eyes were covered, I could only imagine her using a shallow tub and washing the face cloth in recycled water.
By then, I was convinced this spa would not qualify. I didn’t like it at all. It felt and look cheap. It was noisy. It didn’t smell like a spa. I was expecting the price to be cheap (like $60).

4. The Facial Treatment | Beautician away most of the time
The beautician cleansed my face, after which she placed cotton pads over my eyes, before layering on with a sheet mask. “This would soften your skin”, she said.
By the way, I’m totally not impressed with sheet mask being used in a professional salon.
And then she was gone after telling me to rest for 20 minutes. The time passed by rather slowly. With the noise and loud, festive music in the background, it was difficult to sleep through the session. After what felt like more than 20 minutes, I was getting slightly impatient and wanted to look at my watch. But my eyes were covered.
Waited for so long…..(Image Credit: https://snarfed.org)
When the beautician came back, I asked her what time it was. She hesitated and indicated a time that was 25 minutes after the mask was placed. When she lifted off the pad on my eyes and left to get her beauty equipment, I stole a glance at my watch. In actual fact, 40 minutes had elapsed since the mask was placed. Imagine, after 40 minutes of treatment, I have not’t received any extraction, exfoliation, facial treatment, mask or massage. Only cleansing and softening.
The rest of the treatment included a painful exfoliation (squeeze-type), followed by a metal device that ran across my face very briefly. I was told it was an “ultrasound” device. The lady ran the metal device over half of my face, and then handed me a mirror.
“See, the treated side is tighter and firmer”, she said. Tried as hard as I possibly could, I couldn’t tell any difference between the left and right. I even tried to sit upright so that I could notice the firmer skin she was talking about. But I saw nothing.
She didn’t give up, and took out her phone to take photos of my face. But I wondered why she didn’t show the photos to me thereafter. Perhaps, there wasn’t much to be seen?
Lastly, a cold mask was placed on my face for about 20 minutes. All in all, the facial treatment lasted for about 80 minutes, out of which I was left alone for 60 minutes. Contact time was only 20 minutes.

5. The Sales Session | My jaw dropped literally
Most sales session would start off with the beauty consultant asking you if you have enjoyed your session. I was anticipating this question and had cooked up diplomatic way of saying what I’d felt, such as “I would prefer a quiet room that allows me to relax.“
But I wasn’t given a chance to share my experience. A younger sales consultant, different from the previous one started the session taking magnified photos of my skin, and comparing them to the “Before” photos. Indeed, the before-after photos showed that the skin was more supple. “See, your skin collagen has improved”, said the consultant. Being quite well-read in the area of beauty and aesthetic treatments, I didn’t buy into the story because the skin would naturally look more supple after an hour of treatment that ended with a hydrating mask.
Furthermore, beauticians or spas are not allowed to perform treatments that can penetrate too deeply into the skin. It is a regulated industry. Only doctors can perform such treatments. So how could I believe that my skin’s collagen had regenerated after a mere hour of treatment?
“If you want to think this way, I can’t help it”, the sales consultant who was appearing less friendly by then said defensively. She then used the device to take photo of her skin to prove that I was wrong. But I didn’t understand her rationale of doing so as her skin is not my skin. Why did she compare my photos with her photos to prove that I was wrong? I switched off immediately.

$450 a pop? Are you kidding me?
She then tried to sell me the beauty package for $450 per session, or $4,500 for a package of ten sessions. My jaw dropped literally. Seriously? That was out of my expectation. Honestly, I would think twice even if they’d quoted $50.
$450 per facial treatment at New York Skin Solutions (Image source: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/)
At $450 a session for such a noisy ambiance and service is unacceptable. You should never pay $450 for a facial treatment. Even if the facial treatment was done by a certified doctor, it wouldn’t cost this much. Trust me.

One Final Sales Attempt
The first sales consultant (the friendly one) tried a last attempt in getting me to sign up. She took out her phone quickly, went into the photo gallery and picked out an earlier photo of her with lots of obvious dark spots and pigmentation. She was trying to convince me that New York Skin Solutions helped her erased the pigmentation.
But hello….pigmentation wasn’t my skin concern. Furthermore, I can’t see any obvious patches on me as of now. Why they were so eager to solve a problem that wasn’t a concern to me was baffling.
Now, even if I’ve had pigmentation, I knew that no beauty spa can ever erase pigmentation. After going through several rounds of medium peel done by a doctor, some of my tiny dark spots stubbornly remained. So, please. Do not trust those who have something to gain from you. Trust me. Ha Ha. I have nothing to gain from you.

6) Talk Down on Doctors’ Treatment
During the 2.5 hour session, I was discouraged from proceeding with treatments by aesthetic doctors, such as chemical peels, fillers or botox. They either said the procedures weren’t good, or I didn’t need it at that point in time. I would have trusted them if such a sales gimmick hadn’t been used on me. What’s the gimmick, you may ask? Beauty spa would rather you spend these money on them than at an aesthetic clinic. Let me quote you a real life experience.
While having a facial at my previous spa, the beautician struck up a conversation, in which I shared with her about the high-strength vitamin C serum facial and the VI peels I’ve done. She enthusiastically asked me how much the procedures cost.
When I came out from the treatment, the sales consultant somehow got wind of the conversation, and started upselling their package – a facial that contained Vitamin C, but at twice the price of what I’ve already paid for RF treatment. And mind you, RF facial was the highest-tier facial in their package. Why did I have to top-up for a facial that’s not even listed in their brochure? There were similar incidents when spa discouraged me on doctor’s procedures only for me to realize their motives a little while later.

Recommendation
Speaking from my own experience, I would not recommend anyone to take up treatment at New York Skin Solutions, especially not at $450 a pop. A chemical peel which is more effective in treating multiple problems and is performed by a doctor costs only a third or half of this price. You have better ways to spend your hard-earned money.
If you are really keen, do negotiate it down. Beauty spas like to quote prices at least three to four times above their final price. Rating: 0.5/5
If you are still undecided on which salon to sign up for, do make sure that they are accredited by CaseTrust by checking against this list. Accredited beauty spas would allow you to enjoy friendly sales terms such as a 5-day cooling off period and protection for pre-payment. Full list of benefits is listed here.

Other Common Sales Tricks by Beauty Spa

Sales Tricks used in Beauty Spa Industry (Image source: http://www.thebusinessconversationalist.com/)

1) Special Deal: They will quote a high price, after which they would slash it down substantially by quoting a promotion tied to a random excuse (e.g. 21st Month Anniversary, Mother’s Day, Christmas Special). They are trying to convince you that you are getting a good deal, and that you should therefore sign up quickly.

2) Sign up by Today: The promotion only last for one day, which for some reason, happens to be the day you were at the spa. You have to sign up NOW if you want to enjoy the special offer. They will tell you that they are unable to extend the promotion because it’s controlled by the system and checked by the “management”. Even if you come back later, they would not be able to offer you at the discounted price, so they say.
Really? Do they really turn away customer if you call them a few days later that you are interested in their beauty package? I think not.

3) Grooming you for their Sales Pitch: The beautician, when treating your skin would point out about how bad your skin is. After the facial, the sales consultant will then upsell you on packages to address those “concerns”.
Have you been exposed to any other sales tricks? If you have, let me know and I’ll add on to this list to help the community make better decisions in choosing a good beauty spa.

Call for Revamp of Beauty Spa Industry
One last thing, why do beauty spas in Singapore make us commit to long-term beauty packages? I do hope that Singapore consumers will have more options and can enjoy ad hoc beauty deals at reasonable prices.
Is this problem peculiar to Singapore or is it the same everywhere else? I certainly hope this trend would not spread to other industries. What if all hair salons start requiring you to buy long-term packages? Or how about dental clinics in Singapore make their customers commit to a 10-session package?
The beauty spa industry is one of the notorious industries in terms of the number of consumer complaints received. I hope some companies can take the lead and revamp the way the beauty spa industry operates in Singapore.

I am so lucky I came across this thread.

I went for a free trial at Shakura MyTown Cheras on 31st March 2018. And I am sad to say that they still continue this business strategy of hard selling. My appointment was supposed to be at 11.00am. I arrived at their salon and was made to wait for 20mins before they attended to me. Whilst waiting, I decided to read their review and again, I am so lucky to have found this thread.

There were 3 beauticians manning the front desk which I am not sure what they were are doing except for chit-chatting. I noticed that there were 2 consultation rooms and in one of them had 3 more beauticians which again I am not sure what they were doing. After 20mins of waiting, I was finally called to enter one of the consultation rooms. The beautician scanned my face and told me the problems I had (which I am already fully aware of). I was lucky that I just had my facial several days earlier so she couldn't comment much on my skin condition. I find the beautician very unprofessional and hasty. She finally got impatient with me and rudely asked me, "You just had your facial woo, why did you come here?" to which I replied, "Because its free".

She then continued to persuade me to sign up for their package of 3x facial at RM560 which she said had 3 types of enzyme and milk. I told them I don't want to agree because I haven't tried the product yet so I cannot make the decision yet plus I insisted that I came ONLY for the free trial and not to sign up for any package because I already have an existing facial package elsewhere. She then said if thats the case, the free treatment is just a normal one and has only one type of enzyme to which I told her that I was fine with that. After 20mins of failed attempt to convince me, she finally gave up and asked me to wait outside again before being called for the treatment.

The treatment lasted for 1.5hours. 1 hour was with 2 types of sheet masks which I was so unimpressed by. They did not use any machine whatsoever. The other 30 mins was the actual treatment itself with very very painful extraction because I assumed she used comadone-extractor and she really pressed too hard on my skin. I also find the treatment very uncomfortable, I mean the way she massaged my skin was uncomfortable and to me, rough. She was also hasty as though she wanted to get the treatment done and over with quickly. Apart from that, what annoyed me the most was that she was on the phone texting someone while doing my treatment and it didn't help my privacy that her colleague kept coming into our room to talk to her. I was not able to see them because my eyes were covered. They spoke in Mandarin which I do not understand but in the end she said to her colleague in English, "Try to pursue her". Wow, that was when I completely made up my mind that I will not sign up for any package with this company.

After the treatment was done, I was asked to go back to another consultation room and another beautician persuaded me to sign up for the RM560 package. I think she asked me more than 5 times. I almost lost my cool when she finally gave in. She did give me a free gift and with that, I walked out. Oh mind you, they don't even have their own toilet so after the treatment, I was told to use the Mall's toilet. I find that so inconvenient.

As soon as I walked out of their salon, honest to God I felt like a huge burden was lifted off my chest and shoulders. Dare I say those people are really trained professional hard-sellers. They will really force you to sign up for their package. I just got lucky that I managed to get out of there alive without my card being swiped or cash being paid.

My advice to y'all out there is that if you wanna try them out, just be head-strong not to let them make you feel bad about your skin. They will tell you anything to make you sign up for their package even going to the extend of lying. As for me, I am not satisfied with their treatment and their price is also not attractive. I am lucky that I have had many many facial packages before by other big companies such as Dermalogica, SKII, IntensePlus, Sothy's, Decleor etc. I could safely say that at the same price, I could get better and longer treatments complete with the use of machines.

So yes, I will not go to Shakura again and I am advising my relatives to go elsewhere.

PS : I am also very disappointed because I thought a company that has salons in major malls and even advertisements in radio would provide better service. But unfortunately, no.

So sad! I just wish I had read these review before I go to the shakura beauty centre.. I had spend Rm5600 for the 20 facial session.
I went there on 11 June for the free facial treatment promote at Facebook.. I don't plan to pay any amount at first.. Who know the beautician was too persuasive and keep persuade me sign for the Rm560 for this day, it will have 3 enzyme.. She also tell me about the 10,20,30 treatment and the price.. I just reject as I have too many commitment and I don't want to spend money again..
Who know she was too talent in persuasion and I finally decide to sign the Rm560 for that day first.. I try the treatment, feeling it was just like normal facial treatment but even worse than my normal facial treatment as the blackhead extraction is too painful that I never experience in my normal facial treatment..
But after the treatment, she let me to see the different on my face and keep discount for me and offer me free facial set.. Very stupidly I finally agree to pay that although I know actually it already greatly exceed my monthly spending budget..
I totally paid Rm5600(RM3000 installment and RM2600 full payment). Now when I really feel regret as I further add on my financial burden with this bad review company.. The painful blackhead extraction also leave scar at my nose which my normal facial won't like this.. I really feel sad and regret
I still have 20session to go for every month next appointment will be on July..
I wish to request for refund for this..I hope I can return all the unused facial set given by them and get the refund.. But I feel there is very little chance that I can get that..i just hope I can get back the money before it was too late and I have start do their treatment..
PLEASE..Who can advise me how should I do..

Hi TS, yours is another case of a lot of customers being coaxed by beautician in purchasing packages that u regret buying. My case is skin damage due to lies and negligence of a beautician of another beauty centre which I have open a thread to advise on the options and what can customer do if the beautician is unethical/negligent:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4524853

Please file a case at the consumer tribunal https://ttpm.kpdnkk.gov.my/portal/home or (NCCC) National Consumer Complaints Centre http://www.nccc.org.my/v2/. I hope u have photos before and after the facial which show the scar at your nose after the facial. U need to prove that you have reason for demanding the refund. Regret after buying is not strong enough. Do contact the company's legal department to discuss the refund first. If they insist no refund, then tell them that you will be filing a case with the consumer tribunal/NCCC. I wish you will be able to get all or at least some of the refund back. Good luck, TS.

Hi thanks for your advice. I am curious will there a chance I can cancel the package and request for refund as I not yet start my package treatment. Maybe I can give the reason like I can't commit to the 20 times treatment as I unable to pay the installment / face some financial problem or I need to move to other place for my job.. I just don't want to risk myself to start the treatment..sorry as I may need to lie if I mention I need to move to other place.. Is this possible?

I am not able to advise you whether they will refund or not. Depends on the company itself. Some beauty centre want to get rid of troublesome/angry customer, and quickly refund back to the customer. But how many company willingly to do it after taking your money? Some will ask you to give the package to family/friend if you are unable to utilize the package, while some may ask you to change to other type of treatment if you do not like this treatment package. I have attached to you example of a tribunal case between customer want a refund against a slimming company. Customer stated her reason for refund, and the slimming company also defend themselves. They went to the tribunal and at the end, the tribunal judge awarded 50% of the refund request back to customer.

Do speak to the consultant or legal department of the company first, explain a very strong reason why you do not want the package. If they insist no refund, just tell them that you will file a case against them. As I have provide you with the case example, not all customer will get back 100% of what they want. The judge will also listen to the company's defense. There must be a very strong reason. Did the company consultant lie to you on their treatment/during consultation, do you have prove that they lie? Do you experience side effect due to the treatment, any prove? Now is nearly end of June, and you are starting the treatment in July. Do quickly call up the company before the matter dragged further. Rm5000+ is not a small amount, hopefully you can get all, if not, maybe some of it back. Good luck.

Hi Wah Wah, do you get refund from Shakura? Can you update the status? How you ask refund from that? I felt so stupid not doing research before I go for their free trial treatment. My intention was to get my free trial only, didn't expect they succeed in pursued me and I was convinced with them because I was totally blur and blank that time. Feel like being hypnotised by them because my consultant was very freaking nice, unlike some other review said their consultant very rude and annoying. I just went to Shakura Mid Valley a few days ago, then suddenly today I felt not so good about shakura and wanted to do some research about them and I found SO MUCH NEGATIVE FFEDBACK from people and it makes me scared because I also susbscribe for their treatment for student package, RM560 for 5x treatments + 1 birthday, but luckily I only paid RM260 first for deposit instead of RM500 deposit because I told them I have no money. At first they were fine with RM260 as deposit, later (which my next appointment on next year) I will pay the balance. But after I'm done with my free trial treatment, they convinced me again and said if I pay another RM240 by today, they will give free eye treatment and free one of their products. I said I really have no money and need to think first. They even asked me to borrow money from my family and friends first. And I was like what? Immediately, I started to not like them because from there I can see they seems so desperate and push me in very nice way so that I don't feel pressure. But thankful they a bit understanding and not very pushy & annoying, they give me some time to think and get back to them. Btw, I also want to comment about their treatment, when I do the treatment, I can feel they lied to me said they will give the full package treatment for free trial if I pay RM260 deposit by today. Because for free trial, I will just get a few basic treatment but if I pay RM260 by that day they will give me full treatment for free. But When I did my treatment, they only do basic treatment. More worst, they said there's face steam. But I didn't get my face steam. But I didn't say anything, because I know they lied about to give me full treatment. Plus its free, so I don't mind at all. But still their treatment not so best and good. You can get that such treatment at other spa with cheap price. I have went other spa before this, its more cheap and they even not push me to subscribe them, like shakura did.

Seeing this too late :/ Think I don't have to say how did i end up signing the package. So long story short, I've signed a package with instalment with Victoria Facelift and regretted about it few days later as it affected my credit card limit. The branch manager total ignorant and arrogant attitude made me completely lost trust with them hence I decided to ask for full refund. Not looking panic she just told me the moment I signed the package I already agreed on their no refund policy and their company are not free dealing with people like us simply regret after they signed the package.

Lol. I am still amazed what treatment I just got from her.

Looking at the posts and all I believe this is how the company train their people. Seriously why would these companies still around when they have done so much shitty things.
