My wife has a woman insurance from HLA.
It covers womanly diseases and also chidlbirth. It also doubles up as a investment plan to buy their shares.
The childbirth doesn't cover your medical fees but they consider it as a childbirth gift. You can get up till 5% of your insured amount when you give birth (and stay in a hospital).
I.e. if my wife is covered for RM300,000, when delivery, can claim RM3,000 a day stay in hospital. Max 5 days. Max 3 kids. But you can only claim one year after you sign up the package.
Also if there is complications and etc, those are different claims. Not sure if it covers hospitalisation for complications etc.
I bought PruLady from Prudential which works out pretty much the same, only that the premium is 100,000 and you get 3k max for child delivery. Max 2 babies. It covers womanly diseases and also chidlbirth. It also doubles up as a investment plan to buy their shares.

It also covers womanly diseases such as cervical cancer etc. And any pregnancy complication such as stillbirth (after 2nd tri) is covered.
When I bought PruLady there was no other similar product in the market. But now its good to know there's a lot in the market
