Hi Jesse,

Do you mind to share which insurance company that offers these kind of packages, thanks in advance.

HI, you can check out AIA's plans for kids such as ALIFEJOY where you can purchase this plan for your child from as early as 14 weeks of pregnancy. If you are an A-Life Lady360 customer, you can secure coverage for your child even if you are under 14 weeks pregnant without any medical underwriting.
it is an investment link policy whereby you can add multiple riders (eg education savings fund for your child via A-Plus ScholarSaver) to the plan for more benefits etc.
the good thing about this plan is when your child reaches the age of 18, AIA would double the amount your child is covered for, capped at RM 100k, without any medical underwriting.

you can PM me if you want more details on the plans

GE has launched a new plan specially for pregnancy risk and unborn coverage.

The coverage starts from 13th-35th week. Benefits for hospital allowances, congenital illness, pre-booking of medical card and etc.

I bought from AIA insurance
For mummy: AIA medical card, AIA Life lady 360
For baby: AIA Life Joy 2 + A plus health (medical card for baby) , A plus Baby care (maternity insurance) , A plus waiver extra and A-Plus Disability Care.

Its good that we can buy medical card for baby while pregnant without any underwriting from baby but of course mummy shud have a normal pregnancy thus far to apply. If have any complications or Gestational diabetes they may reject.

For mummy: AIA medical card, AIA Life lady 360 (Bout RM1060/ mth coz i opt for highest coverage(300ksum assured) , AIA medical card only RM100+/ mth but the aia life lady 360 is higher in premium )
For baby: AIA Life Joy 2 + A plus health (medical card for baby) , A plus Baby care (maternity insurance) , A plus waiver extra and A-Plus Disability Care. (RM280 per mth )

but i think everyones premium is different base on your age and you required sum of insured lower or higher and underwriting loading or not.Even baby plans i took lower sum assured but higher plan for medical card.

Update: just received 3% of my sum assured as cash reward for giving birth to a baby.
