CMC Ferrari 250 GT SWB Spider California - 1960

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

My thoughts on this model:
Fantastic piece by CMC, the detail is astounding if you're new to CMC. The boot mechanism is fun to play with. The undercarriage is probably the most detailed section of the car, along with the interior. The engine is standard CMC-fare, lots of mixed media (mainly metal). The bare hand-laced aluminium and stainless steel wheels are probably the finest I've seen, along with other CMCs and Exotos; I have doubts AutoArt will be able to do an on-par job for their Jaguar XK-E.

A must-have for any Ferrari Tifosi like me biggrin.gif, or anyone at all who appreciates quality models. To anyone out there who's contemplating getting one, get it. Seriously, you won't regret it. The day AutoArt manages to make models like CMC is doing, with more metal parts than plastic, I'd gladly pay CMC money for their models.

Next up: CMC Maserati 300S (which in my opinion is perhaps marginally better than the Cali)

very nice car! classic elegant! look at the interior, engine n the wheel just like a real car!

My thoughts on this model:
Perhaps even better than the Spider California, CMC has replicated the Carrozzeria Fantuzzi body of this iconic 50s racer perfectly. The latches and leather straps are beautifully replicated but frustrating to use, hence no photos of the engine bay or boot (which contains the fuel/oil tank and a spare). The interior is standard CMC, with a stamped metal floor and leather seats. The transmission linkage is exposed.

Undercarriage of this car is even more impressive than the California, with exposed copper brake lines and pretty much everything you'd expect to find. This model makes me want the 250 Testa Rossa even more. Also no regrets at all getting this.

Jyi: what a beauty.....its really nice....no doubt,CMC is the best diecast maker to me...but too bad they only make classic car >"<

Sky: I agree, CMC is amazing. Exoto could be slightly better due to their functioning parts, but they're marred by their QC issues and business ethics. CMC is releasing some new variants of their Mercedes models soon brows.gif

Leh: Yup, this one is fantastic. CMC just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait for their 312P Berlinetta! biggrin.gif

And oh oh OHHHH MY GAWWDDDD!!! the model feels really light, dont feel like a typical kyosho which usually feels very heavy.. Quality is really good, paint looks great.. but price is also very high (high-end version).. So if u guys want u can wait for HW elite version which is coming this year..

Prolly the best thing u would like about the model is the pop-up headlights.. looks damn awesome, very well done..

marcus: That 355 is yours? I already ordered one but not sure when it will arrive. Probably after CNY. The 355 would've been better if it had tan interior...which I think HWE version will have.

Also, do PM me the price for the F430 Elite. I might be interested.

wkwebsite: I don't know about others but I'm just not a big fan of Pagani. The only Pagani I truly like is the Zonda F Roadster.

JYI: Are they?
