erm how about introduce local traditional games like gasing, konda kondi, batu seremban, tarik upih, galah panjang andso on like that... just my 2 cents

erm ok... killing some extra time here

gasing - it's a traditional game at east coast around kelantan and terengganu, but it is played by adults since the gasing is heavy and it even require 2 person to 'ikat' the rope on it ( if i'm not mistaken , since i'm not from east coast )

for kids, they usually play gasing pangkah. it is small but can be a dangerous since it has a nail as it's tips . they start the game by compete the last gasing spinning.. this is to decide turns.. then the 1st will began to hit ( pangkah ) the gasing inside the circle. then the turns of others come when they gasing being hit and thrown up outside the circle.. the winning method i forgot ledi but it is extremely fun when u can break another player gasing

konda-kondi = dig a small 'long hole' ( like grave ) but not too deep. this is played by using two tree sticks. it has 3 steps each turn.. ( for this game it is vbetter to have simulation since it's not quite easy to explain but fun to be played ) one player have to push the stick as far as you can while the opponet have to catch the flying stick in just one catch between. the winning method is decided at third steps while the distance between the flying stick and the 'mini - grave' is being counted by using the flying stick length.

batu seremban - get 5 small rocks or you can have a 5 mini bean bags. the game is simple. u need to throw 5 bean bags to surface... then pick one. throw it into the air and and the same time grab all the bean bags left at the surface. you have to grab all and also grab the one that you thrown into the air. if you fail to grab all or grab the falling beanbag, your turn has ended. each increment round would be a 'janjang matematik' it is like this
1 + 1 ( 4 times ) - then throw at the surface - 1 + 2 ( 2 times ) - then throw at surface then 1 + 4 ( 1 times 0 and after that i forget. usually kids play on flat surface like table or floor. you can search for cute bean bags at times square at debenhams.

tarik upih - played by 2 person.. one person will pull the " pelepah kelapa ( upih ) " while the other kids will sit on the upih and being like the boss that directs the driver where to go. they will change turn as they like since this is just a mere fun and not games. this games requier a lot of stamina.. hahaha

galah panjang - the game is using the badminton court.. or any court that have lines.. played by 10 kids. where they have to go from one side to other side in designated boxes while evading the opponent that try to grab them.

tutup botol ( bottles cap ) - take 5 bottles cap ( prefereable those glass bottle caps ) then u have to shoot them hit one with anothe one ( illustration will help on this or demonstration )

man.. i really miss those kids moments .. realizing i hv grown up and paying 1.90 cents for petrol make me feel want to be a kid.
