Hi folks,

These are the collections from my best friend's engagement... not too recently. sweat.gif I was helping him since he forced me to take his picture... if not he will cut me off from being friends with him rclxub.gif so I agreed to this blackmail and do the job and don't worry there is OP and I didn't block him and always make him the priority to take pictures since he have the 5d mark ii + 24-70 + 580ex ii, well better than mine which is just a mini 550d + 18-135mm + yn468 sweat.gif

So here are the pictures (warning : amateur photography +fb pictures )

i like pic no 2 smile.gif

others i think need some improvements. im not sure what u r trying to show in pic no.11 and no.12

no.6, perhaps u should zoom in to the ring tighter.

composition is crucial, means it draws eyes to it. say no.3, 4, and 7. it draws eyes to what u wanna tell.

overall, nice pics, great job smile.gif

*im not a good photographer myself, so please dont be offended from what i wrote. if u think my opinion is useless, feel free not to read/listen to it. we r all learning everyday. have a good day!*

I'm sorry to have you confused since it is the pictures of my friends that includes the pictures of groom's friends. No.6 have its own back story but I won't go as to telling the reasons as I'm afraid of what consequences it might occur. sweat.gif

Thanks for the feedback smile.gif much appreciated

for me personally since it is a wedding, i'd have tried taking more shots of people smiling and laughing (see the difference #12 and #bday cake), happy occasion ma smile.gif

oh yeah, groom's eye mata merah, intentional or red-eye never correct in pp? wink.gif

Urm, I think if you can try more towards color and not all the time black and white and since its wedding ma. color makes it joyous moments.

lol actually the groom was envious at the bride-to-be's eyes that were blueish because of contact lens... so were asking me personally to touch up the photo.
sweat.gif

yeah... they are the kind of family who are "happy-go-lucky" kind... easy to get close to.

the tequila's eyes were not pp-ed per say.... it is contact lens but I made it much more clearer so that the eyes glows rather than dull. brows.gif

hehe should I post more? on the colored version? brows.gif

no its not that im confused whether its ur frens or not bro. i literally dont know anyone in these pics. i view pics from photographers, and most of the time i dont know anyone. but that is not my point. im sure u take pictures of those who matters to the bride&groom as this will reflect to them later. so good job on that. but my point is, the way u execute it, is a bit not so convincing.

i mean, look at no.11. i dont get the composition. it shows that ur trying to highlight the boy on the rightside of the photo, and by that u included things on the left which looks kinda messy. i wud suggest a portrait of the boy alone might be better.

and no.12, looks like u r trying to show that the friends are eating. i get the point. but it seems that ur focusing on the guy on the right. which really shows his side-face. i wud suggest u compose it from the front of the guy, get ur camera to his eye level (like what u did in the photo), and that wud be better.

i know candid shots are nice. but how often do a candid group photo (like the no.10 photo) get printed out, framed, and hanged? i wud say if u see the friends gathering and having chats among themselves, ask all of them to look at u and snap a photo. better yet, ask them to do some freestyle shots as well. like this shot u did - http://www.flickr.com/photos/comradez/5633663055/

u have potential. i have seen ur past works and i think they are good. under controlled situation, its easier to create beautiful pics. and i understand that this is not a controlled situation. practice makes perfect. and the first picture, i know that ur a fan of making the eyes turn red. work more on ur composition. good luck and all the best buddy!
