Just changed my tyres from Bridgestone Duelers to Continental Cross Contact LX on my 2005 Ford Ranger. After driving 400+KM on a trip to Singapore, the Continentals are SUPER quiet and much softer than my Duelers. So much more comfortable. However, on a wet patch of road, grip does suffer a bit.

Online reviews state that threads tend to run early, but so far as a replacement for my Duelers, I'm not complaining as I can finally drive on highways much more comfortably.

Well its better than my Bridgestones. I was doing about 120 in super heavy downpour over the weekend. Wet grip in any pick-up is a joke, but the continentals did feel a lot more planted. The only downside I've read about is its durability and that i'll struggle to get more than 40k out of them. Hopefully it'll last till 60k but if not, I'm quite happy with the performance of the Continental and will buy them again unless there is something better.
