my myvi engine oil dipstick is broken, 1st gen myvi. any one can tell me why they put some plastic in side the engine? why they can't just use the normal metal dipstick? now my 3/4 dipstick is inside the engine, how to get the dipstick out?

Anyone know the new myvi oil dipstick can fit to old myvi engine or not? The total length of the old dipstick is 19 3/4 inches.(19.75 in) new myvi use metal dipstick or plastic one?
