hi guys, want to ask some noob question, please brace yourself :
1-When you insert your car key and set to ON, do you guys wait for a few second before crank to the start ? 2-I read online that we need to wait until all the engine check, abs, etc indicator to turn off before crank the engine start..is this true? 3-In case during emergency, will it cause any harm if we quickly start the engine without waiting for the indicator to off 4-my vv, 1.5 se auto the indicator for engine and battery never get off before i start, but after the engine start all indicator is gone, is this normal or engine problem? added picture for illustration ![]() Thanks in advance This post has been edited by JuhariS: Nov 28 2012, 12:17 PM |

QUOTE(chronous @ Nov 28 2012, 12:45 PM) 1. Yes, recommended to wait until all the airbag indicator turn off. This is to prevent airbag control unit damaged in case your car battery got problem and no enough power to supply the control unit and ignition at the same time. thank you very much, this really clear out my worries.. 2. Yes, correct 3. No problem but try to avoid it. 4. That one is normal. If the icon still on after start, then it's a different story altogether. QUOTE(Area51SE @ Nov 28 2012, 02:48 PM) 1. Yes , I do. I would normally crank to start the engine once the Airbag indicator turns off thanks bro Area51 2. No idea but for me, I wait until the airbag indicator turns off and then I'll start the engine 3. I think it wouldn't cause much harm if you don't do that frequently. As far as I see, MOST people out there would straight crank to start their engine once they enter the car. Very rarely I would see people doing like what I do. Wait for awhile for the airbag indicator to turn off only start. 4. Yes, it's normal. No worries Added on November 28, 2012, 2:48 pm Sorry Bro, no idea about that. Maybe u can do some research yourself or ask members here that are staying in the Northern region |
