just notice this....

the Intel Mac Mini has a PSU unit of 110 watt as compared to their PPC counterpart of only 85 watt. So if the Intel CD's more power-savvy than the PPC, and it utilises only an integrated graphics, then what the heck is sucking off that much power.....? RAM....? blink.gif blink.gif

jeezzz.... just a normal DDR that expensive....? are you sure....? shocking.gif shocking.gif

the last time I had a DDR2 512 MB it was only RM350....

besides, PPC Mac Mini is compatible with standard KVR (correct me if I'm wrong), which should costs a lot lesser....

i can see it may be expensive for a so-dimm, but we're talking about a PPC Mac Mini which uses a normal DDR....

If its a single sided four chip (flat discrete profile) SODIMM, it may be very expensive.. not to mention exotic.. they are hard to come by. Especially in sizes larger than 256MB.

i'm not a apple user but thinking of (maybe) buying a mac mini in a couple of months time..

but i dun have the money right now coz it's all in my bank in malaysia (didn't have internet banking for my malaysia bank account doh.gif)

my question is, is the price in MacAsia for 1.66Ghz mac mini (RM3299) including the postage cost? do they give discount to students? coz here in apple.com.au I can get the same mac mini for AU$1169.30 (~RM3083.34) including the postage cost by using student discount..

i was about to sell off my PB when i just realize that the Imac MINI comes with just a normal intel powered graphic cheap, chip set... really turned me down. the previous imac comes with quite a descent ones. anyway, i heard people said that you could customize the imac? like processor and graphic chips?
how true this is....
