The question is, why they bother to create WoW 2 than creating expansion which cost less effor to work on and making same money?

Bliz will max out their business opportunity on WoW until it dry out then only will develop/release a new replacement

Hmmm just a thought thou because if they do, they can expand more of the game than it's original.

Well they have a project for their next mmo called project titan, wow storyline is almost coming to an end, after killing sergaras most prob they might have nothing else for players to kill UNLESS THRALL WAS BAD ALL ALONG! m night smahmamalalaman will be so proud of that polt twist

This is true; and blizz had mentioned and they are implementing it now in fact; that they are remodeling and redesigning the old things again. Right now they are currently redesigning the dwarf model and the humans and orcs are next.

Also; storyline based, I used to think the same thing, WoW is ending because they are so close to Sargares already. With Sargares dead, who else is left to kill? But that wouldn't happen soon as they are making too much money out of it and the lead story designer, Chris Metzen can just come up with any storyline and move towards there, like what they did in mist of pandaria and how it doesn't seem to have a final boss like the previous expansions. Well maybe it's garrosh, screw that guy I hate him.

So yeah, wow 2 is just a ridiculous idea, too much time and resource consumption to do so. Might as well keep making expansions.

Still got lots of lore left.

1) 5 old gods, 2 killed (C'thun and Yogg Saron), 3 left, N'zoth and Y'shaarj, 1 yet to be named
- Y'shaarj might make an appearance in Mists, seeing as it's responsible for the 7 Sha (Anger, Despair, Doubt, Fear, Hatred, Violence, 1 yet to be named)
- N'zoth will most likely appear in an Emerald Dream themed expansion, alongside with the naga city of Nazjatar

2) Eredar, Kiljaeden and Sargeras and a host of others

3) Titans, the pantheon

not to mention the ridiculous WoW setting of "demons can never be killed, they can only be banished". That means the whole cycle can start again for god's sake if they want.

now is just how much further can they squeeze WoW1 before it became unprofitable for an expansion, by then we can expect a whole new game.

Wrong! in software engineering
making a new one is far more simple than continue developing/maintaining the current software

Dude you serious? It might applicable for a small plugin but this WoW, is huge, you wanna do everything from scratch instead of using the current one? And, a game just ain't only about the software development, it is a business.
