What else? Can you guys state down..
I need to know where to get hand straps and belts.
just putting my recommendations down for you to consider.
fat gripz are good and you can get them online and have them shipped to you. it helps with grip strength because think about it, you have to grip a thicker bar harder than you would a skinny one, correct? you can use them for the bench press and/or rows to improve your grip strength.
the usage of belts in your explanation above seems to imply that the belt is the solution to poor form and that by lifting something 'really heavy' which is a relative term, would cause you to have back injuries. this is not entirely true. belts are meant to give you support in your core and your lower back but cannot substitute correct form when performing a lift.
gloves and straps/hooks involve grip. therefore, in order to increase your grip strength you need to do accessory work that will help in that area. i'm not against straps, i'm just recommending that you not depend on it on every lift you do. you can develop some manly callouses on your palms, your lifts will thank you. a cheaper alternative would be to use some chalk.
my advice is to get your lifts up before considering looking at equipment so that you have a strong base to consider which training style suits you.
not to mention, it's cheaper too.
