If your laptop support SAS and has room to put SAS HDD

What is SAS?

SAS means serial attached SCSI, replacing parallel SCSI normally found on servers.

Normal SATA controller/chipset on desktop computer do not support SAS HDD. Their interface is different.

If you connect SAS HDD to a controller with no SAS support, the SAS HDD won't power up.
