Just like any watch with springbars...just kinda tight.

I use those small flat screw driver for tightening eye glasses but pay a couple of bucks for springbar removal tool if you change often. Just to minimize accidental slipping and scratch the lugs/caseback.

yeah i saw this video as well, but lets say we manage to put a leather strap to it, and you know how leather strap doesnt have the two holes in the middle like a metal bracelet, how do one remove the leather strap then?
*
The same.. leather is easier as you can unbuckle the strap so more space to work with... and leather is soft so just insert the tool in the same place between strap and lug then pull inwards.

Not sure if my description makes sense. Just practice on an old watch lo

bro why did you say non cosc? which reference yours and any reason why you wanna let her go?
*
14060M are initially non- COSC but later series are COSC. Stated on the dial.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Nov 21 2012, 07:36 PM)
i think its the brand name that turns ppl off?
the tudor black bay has some following even tho its just a ETA also.
*
If the Pelagos is any indication, the black bay should exude the same aura of desirability.

Anyway, for the Tag budget... there's soooo many other choice.

Like a LLD would be a much classier choice

For brand new watches, COSC could be a "feel good" factor for out of box experience. At least know for sure it'll fall to -4/+6 standards.

Other than that.. I think it's more cosmetic and not relevant.

"aura of desirability"?  laugh.gif  I agree that a value of a watch is subjective depending on the individual person. But to suggest an inanimate man made object can exude an "aura of desirability" is grandiloquent. You have been bombarded by too many Rolex and Tudor ads.

After all, one must look objectively when making a decision.

For the price range of a Tudor Pelagos (RM13K), one could go for a Longines Heritage Column Wheel Chronograph.

It won't look awkward when wearing the watch to an office.
Unless you are a professional diver, you won't look like a poseur.  wink.gif

Still, if I were to get a professional diving watch, I'd go with either one of these rather than an over hyped ETA watch.

OK. Maybe its a little exaggerated though its the same as saying that "it speaks to me" or some other more crude expressions. laugh.gif

Well since watches can hardly be judged on function and good value alone, "aura of desirability" is as good a reason as any. biggrin.gif

I've a crushed for the snowflake but too horologically challenged to dive into world of vintage hence the Pelagos to me is like a modern snowflake with officially warranty wub.gif

From this perspective, its not much more $$$ than a good conditioned snowflake.

I have the same 5600 stealth, bought as part of a pair (Baby-G for ladies version). Legibility is pretty good, in the dark you can always use the backlight smile.gif
*
Mine sharing pic or the model name of the Baby-G version? Thinking of getting one for the missus too.

Luminox sellpoint are tritium tubes but:

Hamilton has similar field watch powered by an automatic ETA2824 with display case back (and a gazillion variation of the Khaki Field theme) for about that price.

http://www.authenticwatches.com/hamilton-k...ml#.ULH1l4esh8E

Seiko also have a 42mm 7236 automatic pimped at the link below for a fraction of the price @ ~ RM400 ( along with some variation of the theme too)

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=56230932

among many others brands.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On another note.. didn't know this model existed. Not a big fan of eco-drive but certified diver (promaster), like the retro look, signed crown, solid end link and the clasp for one (unlike other divers at this price point).

What do you guys think?
