Most likely MG will make a 1/100 scale of the F91, as that scale has been the staple size for Gundam models by Master Grade, so it might be small. Of course, if they're going to make it, but I don't see why not.

MG's venture into the 1/100 scale of 15m-tall MS designs can be forseen, due to the advancement in plastic materials and CAD solutions, so smaller, finer pieces are possible to manufacture these days.

Hopefully MG will consider next making 1/100 scale models of famous Gundams such as Gundam Double X, Gundam F90 and V2 Gundam. thumbup.gif MG has considered making these before , amongst other GunPla models; sometime before year 2000. Hobby Japan subscribers would know of this plan.

Good pics there, that should be enough encouragement for any GunPla fan to bust out their savings.
Man, if I had the multiple Ringgit bundles, I'd hit it whistling.gif

BTW, since this thread isn't limited to Gundam mecha only, allow me to be the first to pitch in a non-Gundam contribution for this new thread biggrin.gif : My LM-HG Evangelion collection.

Still no EVA-04, I know. That one coming soon... the last addition to the family (heck, EVA-04 never appeared in the anime anyway biggrin.gif )

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Mar 2 2006, 12:12 AM)
just curious..... what is the size of eva models? it looks kinda huge...

personally i prefer mecha which look like mecha, instead of aliens... dunbine looks real weird...
*
Good question, since Evangelion models don't come with scale measurements.

Just did an on-the-spot measurement of the EVA-01 model with a ruler, and I got approximately 19.5cm from its base to the top of its head.

Going off-topic a bit:
Doesn't Dunbine look like mecha? Then how about Escaflowne? Heck even the EVAs don't look like traditional mecha, but these are the ones that helped expand the wonderous concept of mecha smile.gif

Yeah, I concur that the mecha of Dunbine is hard to get used to at first; but after all, when its design first came out in 1983, the concept was entirely original: the first anime to incorporate organic mechas in a medieval setting.

Real good work there, Godevil, replicating the MG box art. thumbup.gif

I'm thinking of doing a stand for my winged EVA-05 as well: the kind where I can put it above my computer monitor, and let it seemingly soar above my head, watching my on-computer activities like a vulture of doom....AARGHH....! sweat.gif

Heh heh, utilize the holes on the top of the CRT case, eh?

I did once make a stand out of a black-painted, well-bent metal coat hanger for my EVA-01, cause I'm able to replicate the umbilical cord (power supply cable) of the EVA, hooked it onto its back and made it look like it jumped up, suspended in mid-air.

Don't know where that stand is now, must've gone missing in transition to my current residence; that's why I hate moving house, got a lot of my stuff to move... shakehead.gif

That's the MSK-008 Dijeh, Amuro Ray's mobile suit. The dark blue one is the RX-139 Hambrabi and the yellow one is the MSA-005 Methuss. These three are from the first editions of Bandai Zeta Gundam series, so no surprise that many aren't too familiar with that versions. Hope Bandai might consider making HGUC versions of Dijeh and Methuss, too (and other iconic MS of the Zeta series... smile.gif )

They already did for Methuss.

Uh, they did? Is it in production? Cause AFAIK, the only Zeta Gundam HGUC models that has been released are The O, HiZack, Quebeley, Rick Dias, Gundam Mk-II, Psyco Gundam Mk-I, Zeta Gundam, Gaplant, Hyaku Shiki, Marasai, Asshimar, Gabthley and Palace Athene. huh.gif

If it is coming soon, then swell. Methuss appeared not only in Zeta, but ZZ too. Same goes with Psyco Gundam Mk-II. Hope they'll make that 30cm monster... biggrin.gif just like they did with the Mk-I. After all, the Mk-II is a lot meaner looking...

by the way that one isn't painted is it?
*
Nope, not yet. When I can paint as proficiently as you, I'd do it. Otherwise I'd rather not make a mess out of my large collection of old and rare models, have to be real careful with them...

Of course, if you could do the honours of painting it for me...? thumbup.gif

Same goes to my rare Yamato 2520:

I normally won't suspend my Gundam models with clotheshanger wire because they're either too big or too heavy for it... sweat.gif

Seems that you're familiar with the mecha of FSS, dj898... Man, I love FSS, they're definitely the most gorgeous mecha designs I've ever seen. A pity there's not many plamo companies making them. The ones made by Volks are the best of all. I only got one FSS model so far, and that one was made by WAVE, not a bad model at all, seeing that these two plamo makers are the only ones in the world making FSS models anyway. tongue.gif

Not much surprise that there are a number of buster launcher lookalikes in the Zeta Gundam series, since the mecha designer of FSS was one of the designers for the mechas of Zeta Gundam, so he might have given the infuence for the team... cool.gif

And talking about my FSS model, it's now one of my two currently ongoing plamo projects (the other one is doing heavy conversion on my older Nu Gundam model... into something else, heh heh...), so it'll involve a number of scratchbuilt parts especially for the second model. Thus, my question for the other modellers is: What is the best kind and brand of putty to use for this kind of task, one that is easy to apply and shape. smile.gif

OT,

I managed to get English-translated FSS volume 1-8 (except 7, shit sad.gif ) and I really like to get the rest of 'em, seeing how far the story has developed after seeing it in the Newtype magazines.

I believe King Colus III's flag MortarHeadd was spelled Junchoon in English (although pronounced 'Juhnohn')

I love every MH design that ever came out in FSS, but my real favourites so far would be KoG, LED Mirage, Vatshu, Junchoon, and the gi-normous Jagd Mirage. thumbup.gif

Thanks for the info, Guvyer. I will start looking for it A.S.A.P. Can't wait to continue modifying my Nu Gundam. smile.gif All chopped up and waiting for the next phase: redesign and reconstruction.
