Finally, something that does justice to the Infinite Justice. I wonder why BANDAI cannot make something that is anatomically proportionate like Cosmic Region kits. Milk more profit perhaps, from a 1/144 sized kit which has an MG's price tag.

The beam lance is a bit too short though, but it still looks nice nevertheless.

meanwhile, Zeon's new MS has been made into an MG !! biggrin.gif

And I thought I was the most careless one around when making gundams... it seems most of us here had bad experiences for making errors...

I accidentally fixed the neck of my Destiny facing backwards doh.gif Spent 10 minutes prying open the entire upper torso just to fix that part... But the worst mistakes were when I was making my Blue Frame. That kit had too many small parts which are extremely fragile. I broke the orange peg on the left leg which held the army knife, and ended up using super glue to stick it back...

And also the error when making the giant backpack, where I fixed the rotating joints on the wrong side, so that the blades won't join together to form the sword. doh.gif

Never do gundams when you're sleepy......ZZZZZZZzzzzZZzzzZZZ

meanwhile.... HG 1/144 Strike Noir...hm..... unsure.gif still not liking the look of it

At least it used only one pistol, and doesn't have the faggotry-ridden OMG DUAL PISTOLS ON CROSSED HANDS! pose.

And I like Testament's design. It's sex.

Testament looks weird... the front bending antennae looks like rabbit ears, and the feet is like platform sandals. Oh well, The Outframe has the same legs too...

isnt that the model which has chrome gray color?
i believe that price is average, still a good bargain coz average price is rm140 from my last survey
*
The A1 is the red-white Zeta... The grey one is the C1 with the big ass cannon. The cheapest I could find for the A1 is RM 135... not sure whether the price has dropped or not, which I doubt though...

Any problems with the articulations? It seems that the older MG Zetas had joint problems, esp for the wings which are only supported by a puny piece of polymer cap, making it weak and loose.

Well, it's a NG 1/144... hence the low price... in fact, $5 is around sub RM 20, which is roughly the price of an NG 1/144 in Spore... So it should be a real one. Don't get NGs doh.gif

And the much-awaited MG F91. Looks real promising... They retained the original rounded design from the anime, and not using GFF-like designs; Katoki's redesigns are usually pretty squarish/polygonal...
Hm... so it's going to be an 1/100, that means it'll be 15cm only... too small sad.gif I prefer it to be around 18cm, but the F91 is a smaller unit anyway.

The head looks gorgeous... But... look at the elbow... HORRIBLE OLD JOINTS !! It is similar to the ones used the older GW models, where the pronation occurs at the elbow, not the upper arm!! Bad... Bad move for an MG... doh.gif doh.gif Change it BANDAI... Change it!!
user posted image

1/100 Amatu... for the price of an MG Freedom... guess it's the gold plating that makes it so expensive. I'm surprised that BANDAI finally decides to make this unit, yet I'm not that excited about it as it'll be just another Astray with different weapon set.

But good move by BANDAI to make the Amatu thumbup.gif

More pics on Amatu and SG kits. The Duel and Buster looks more menacing now with the larger and bulkier armors, it makes them look more military like, instead of the GSD Super Robots...

Hm... really bad job by Bandai.... the head looks nothing like the lineart, or the 1/144 HG. In fact it looks like an MSiA head doh.gif In fact, the whole design looks nothing like the lineart (original lineart, not the 1/100 model lineart) suggested.

Hope the 1/100 Legend retains its original design, instead of flaws everywhere.

And for 2700+ yen? ZOMG... 1/100s are getting more and more expensive, yet the quality is disappointing.

Models coming out in the near future...

Looks like the 1/100 Legend is going to be better looking than the IJ and SF. It seems that Destiny and Legend are much better kits than the horrible duo. Maybe it's BANDAI's way of compensating ZAFT as they made them look stupid in the anime. tongue.gif

The Amatu is freaking shiny... but I think the it's going to suffer the same problem as the Blue Frame, which is the overweight backpack that makes it difficult to pose.

The sazabi looks great, but the price.... hm.... unsure.gif

I've only one word for BANDAI....

Cheapskate.

Why spoil an otherwise beautiful model with the horrible old fashioned elbow joints? Those puny polycaps are never going to last, and it'd probably slide out when posing with weapons, esp those heavy rifles...

Meanwhile the Amatu is just same as any other astrays, with new backpack and head.... it looks real nice, but I won't buy an 1/100 with the price of an MG. Even with bling-blings.

Not only cheapskate, but UGH... what the hell is wrong with the proportions of Bandai models these days?  shakehead.gif  Is there something wrong with their CAD programs, or do we really need corrective eye surgeries? My older 1/100 F91 looks much more gorgeous than this version. And the face?! Phail. Hope MG fine-tunes this 'masterpiece' before putting it through the production process...  dry.gif
LOL... CAD program cacated...

However i think the new MG F91's head is better looking, although it doesn't resemble the original lineart. In fact it looks more like something from CE tongue.gif

Can you post a pic of your 1/100 F91? I've never seen one before, only a 1/144

IWSP?? You could get it anywhere I suppose.... But it's only in 1/144 HG

QUOTE(Fodder Soldier @ May 26 2006, 04:53 AM)
O'rly? A 1/144 F91? I never knew such model exists, unless it's B-Club's garage kit, ant that was just the F77 G-Cannon. Maybe you'd mistaken the 1/100 for a 1/144; they are small, y'know: post-UC 0093 all MSs are scaled down from the standard 18m head height to the new 15m dimensions, so no surprise there.

It's a wonder Bandai took this long to finally venture into the 15m-tall MS domain. Maybe MG boxes can finally get smaller? (hence cheaper?)  tongue.gif

So here's pics of my older 1/100 Gundam F91 as you requested (sorry if some of them are below average quality, my current camera can't take nice macro shots  tongue.gif )
I suppose it's a 1/100 then, coz of the small size I thought it was an 1/144 tongue.gif Nice F91, but for 15m MSes I think V2 looks nicer... biggrin.gif Small and sleek with only the beam wings, although the assault buster makes it look bulky.

Duelling stand?

Zeta Plus C1 then >.> .

MG 1/100 Aile Strike Out? I wonder why? It's a 3900+ kit, which you'd probably get it around RM 150-170 if you really look hard for it. If I'm not mistaken it's probably around RM 150....

A1 and C1 is around RM 135.... rougly in that range, unless you manage to reduce it a bit more....

I don't know which one you'd like, but the MG strike has better mobility. The Zetas cannot twist their waist due to the transformation mechanism though...

Happy modelling... biggrin.gif

Get an MKII instead for great mobility

Obviously Mk.II is the MOST poseable thing around, but I'm sure most people would go for a Mk.II, so I got to get something else. Poseability is not one of my priorities in buying those.

And I'll learn the ropes with a HG 1/144 first. Will do MG later, since I got a knack for breaking stuff in the later stages.
*
Well, my advice is to go with the usual 1/100 if you don't wish to get an MG. Don't get an 1/144 as it is too small. The only good thing about an 1/144 is its smaller size so that it's easier to store.

An 1/144 lacks details, and there are more parts which are uncolored obviously. I've thought of buying 1/144s, but when compared beside my other 1/100s, I gave up on them.

Of course, there are several 1/144 models (eg CGue deeparms) which should be made into 1/100... but there seems to be no chance of it happening.

BUt, but but.... Go for an MG Strike... I don't like strike, yet I feel this model is very well made.

A comparision between the 2 upcoming mechas...

The MG F91 is horrible, the more I look at it, the more I detest it. The worst, and I repeat, THE WORST problem is the elbow joint. OMG why the heck did BANDAI use the old joint that's so outdated? The Rafflesia stand is indeed unique, but somehow it reminds me of some mutated flower with evil fangs sprouting from the ground, trying to eat the F91 doh.gif
http://www6.ocn.ne.jp/~midori-b/newpic/nes-g0345.htm

However the Amatu is real sweet... Somehow I won't really buy it considering that the gigantic heavy backpack is going to cause problems when posing the kit.

So to overcome this problem, the designers at Bandai probably thought that a rotating elbow joint will allow greater poseability.

Though I do agree with you that the Rafflesia Stand is awful!
*
If they decide to use the newer designs where the arm pronates at the upper arm, it'd be better; and poseability would not be sacrificed anyway...

Astray Gold Frame Amatsu
Velde Buster Gundam

Astray Gold Frame came out in 1/100 size and not 1/144 HG...weird...
*
Weird? Not at all... In fact it's a wise move to make it into a 1/100... 1/144 often lacks detail. And since they are basing it on the 1/100 Red Frame (+ Blitz Arm), there's no reason not to make a 1/100. Furthermore, they can charge us an MG price

And WOW ! wub.gif The Amatu is damn shiny... biggrin.gif

And why they change the design of the feet ??
The Amatu's feet from HJ scratch build looks better than the production one
*
It's a different Amatu... The Scratch built one was the uncomplete mecha in the manga, note the flat soles, absence of the sharp blitz like shinpads, and no swords on the hips.

The upcoming one from BANDAI is based on the Amatu Mina Custom, where the pilot customized the mecha design, giving it pointy heels, two swords, and of course the shinpads.

I must say the flat soles one look nicer (although a thicker sole like the 2nd L would be better), maybe the female pilot of the Mina Custom decided to make hers more feminine by giving it stilletos tongue.gif

Well... the new stargazer side story rumors have been going on for sometime now. We've already seen the Strike Noir, the new busters and duels... and now the only obscure one left is the stargazer.

I've never heard that it was an Mobile Armor, but from what I've read since couple of months ago on various forums, it seems that it might be a new MS, or a new space vehicle for deep space exploration. There's still no confirmation about it's real identity yet.

But, there was a promo pic about stargazer sometime ago, showing a tiny white MS with super-long beam thrusters... people were speculating that to be stargazer, but again, no confirmation... the pic is now at the main site...
http://www.seed-stargazer.net/

Oh well.... judging by the designs of CE suits.... I'm not that enthusiastic...
