Hey guys....suddenly juz wondering......seems like most of the Gundam Modelling Enthusiast (hope spell correctly ) here are guys = male.

Anyone know any Gals = female Gundam Modelling Enthusiast? Just curious

i know few guys who have their missus helping out making gunpla or painting and what not...
some even have missus doing all the figure works - resin...

yeah, it seems that there aren't many females involved in modelling, those I saw at model shops are all searching for kits for their boyfriends.

I just splurged on a 1/100 blue frame for RM 115 on saturday... now my angpow money is officially gone, all used up for gundams, my driving license renewing, and the upcoming ball of my uni.

the kit is superb for a start, it has the most parts in all CE series models, and the articulation is comparable to an MG... it just lacks an internal frame, but the way the pieces snap together is not unsimilar to MG. It's the only 1/100 CE where the elbows can be fulled flexed.

The legs however are spendidly intricate, but a nightmare to build... instead of having the usual left and right pieces to snap together, the blue frame has much more parts... but i'm a bit disappointed as the small blade at the front of the foot looks like a spade rather than a sharp blade. Oh well... I'm asking too much...

my progress is quite slow for it has so many individual parts. 4 hours into the model and I've only completed the upper torso, head, both upper limbs, and the right leg... so it's only halfway done... Compare to my deathsycthe which took me rougly 4 hours to complete the whole thing.

But it's worth my money... RM 115 for something which has so many parts, and a wide range of articulation. Now to think that 105 is what we have to pay for a 1/144 bling bling Akatsuki Astrays are superb

Maybe I'll have to splurge on a red frame to accompany le blue... well... then i'll have to sell off my justice or deathscythe... any takers?

you just need small size LED and button batteries.
and probably won't even need the resister

HY2M is Bandai's Gundam line where they product special version of kits for mature audience - read as someone with thick wallet. You'd heard of 1/60 scale Dom with numerous LED verniers? Well its' one of Glorious series from HY2M line. There are also 1/12 scale and 1/24 scale kits from HY2M and numerous replacement head kits with LED unit inside...

an MG of IJ is totally out of the question, judging by BANDAI's strategy of making MG models. And since the CE line is not as popular as UC, there's not much chance of seeing any more MGs from it. In fact they haven't even made an MG impulse, let alone destiny or SF... There are conversion kits for MG SF though...

the 1/100 HG is more possible, but the circumstances now are not encouraging as BANDAI is more comfortable in releasing 1/144s (at 1/100 prices ) Personally I don't think there'll be anymore 1/100 from the CE line....

for the difference between the 2 mechas, check it out at mahq.net.... under mecha - seed and seed destiny...

thats only in M'sia of course...its a whole different story if u were in Japan/Taiwan/HK(?)

edit: oh yeah n of course the special stuff that comes with the kit...ex: gold coating on Akatsuki but they made a good job on the gold of the Hyakushiki for the newly released Gryphios War Set

1st person? doubt it...i have b4 asked my dad to buy a HG 1/144 Freedom, Forbidden & Raider when he was on a business trip to Japan...n i've bet other ppl who's actually bought from there b4 me as well

edit: buying online is from HLJ & Hobby Search gets u the same price as well just that u need to add the cost of shipping

These were taken with my old man's camera - Nikkon 12 mega pixel SLR... and the backward flash unit that you can fire backward or toward the ceiling

the lens assembly came with the camera also has fully automated meter/spot focus with manual overide.. and other stuff over my head... tongue.gif

It takes 10MB TIFF and 4MB JPEG so I downsized JPEG below 1MB to post on imaheshack though kept the quality at the maximum...

After coverting to RM, the HG 1/100 kits cost around RM55 each

BTW found some interesting stand. Dunno can use for gundam model kits or not. DC is bringing them in

yeah i got my HG 1/144s for around RM40+ each...gave my dad RM150 n told him to keep the change since it was already considered as cheap getting 3 HG 1/144 kits for RM150

lol. And we have to pay almost double that amount for only one kit

Which reminds me, how much do local shops over you guys' place charge for Advanced Hazel and Hazel Custom? I find all the shops over here in Malacca suddenly charging RM85 (I bought it back in January for only RM70) for Advanced Hazel, and RM75 (bought for RM62 back in Jan) for Hazel Custom... o_o

woot da fuk? RM50 for 1/100 HG kit?? That's impossible. I bought the 1/100 model at around RM80 after converting.

I just got Advance Hazel and Hazel custom from Japan for RM65 & 55 each.
