sousuke, drift.
the head itself got 5 parts. so masking is very minimal, most of the part is separated well enough. it feel like snap-fitting a plastic kit actually. of coz need glue. it is rock hard n solid feel, but very easy to saw, drill and sand. This post has been edited by StormV: Mar 9 2006, 10:54 PM |

QUOTE(jhcj @ Mar 9 2006, 11:56 AM) HAY GUYS. for my 1/100 destiny, i added the red streaks beneath the eyes with left over red-stickers... My first serious attempt at modelling. Sorry lah if it's not really that good. All I had to use was the black Gundam Marker I bought for RM9.90. I wished I had a red colored marker as well, because I couldn't do up some of the details like the red vertical streak on the face and some of the weapon colors. |

QUOTE(jhcj @ Mar 9 2006, 11:56 AM) HAY GUYS. We welcome our latest My first serious attempt at modelling. Sorry lah if it's not really that good. All I had to use was the black Gundam Marker I bought for RM9.90. I wished I had a red colored marker as well, because I couldn't do up some of the details like the red vertical streak on the face and some of the weapon colors. Oh, it's a 1/144 Destiny Gundam. QUOTE(hitler @ Mar 10 2006, 03:13 AM) Its around RM78-RM90, DC at BB Plaza brought in hell a lot of the endless waltz HG series stock in late last year. Maybe you should give a call, whether they still have any stock left or notThis post has been edited by providence: Mar 10 2006, 07:00 AM |

I'm going to try that out tonight! Not rly. A pen knife with a new blade on it can cut it out nicely. I've did it with the leftover shiny stickers to cut out a small neon green rectangle shape for the sensors/gun sensor thing of the Advanced Hazel I'm building.Yeah it's a little small, but worth a try. Thanks for the tip! |

QUOTE(StormV @ Mar 10 2006, 12:49 AM) sousuke, drift. cool man...so the face is seperated from the head like a normal MG kit right? i mean just the face...i know u can seperate the eyes, face plate & "beard" heh...and as for glue...u can't use plastic cement now right? needs super glue? the head itself got 5 parts. so masking is very minimal, most of the part is separated well enough. it feel like snap-fitting a plastic kit actually. of coz need glue. it is rock hard n solid feel, but very easy to saw, drill and sand. |

I've did it with the leftover shiny stickers to cut out a small neon green rectangle shape for the sensors/gun sensor thing of the Advanced Hazel I'm building. I tried with a cutting knife yesterday, but it's too hard! As it is, the 1/144 scale head is too small, so imagine the width of that streak. I think it's less than a milimeter. I gave up after a few tries. It's too darned small! Even if i managed to cut it out, the transfer of the sticker to the face is another headache. >_> |

I think it's less than a milimeter. it is very small for the 1/144... the one on my 1/100 was around 1mm thick... hell had to cut it many times to get it right... and it ain't perfect anyway... look closely still can see the sticky edges...I gave up after a few tries. It's too darned small! Even if i managed to cut it out, the transfer of the sticker to the face is another headache. >_> other parts like shiny green or silver can be used for the gun sensors |
