Swap ext sdcard as internal memory working well too You mean the cut out for the usb is located at the bottom of the flap when you close the top cover? so even if the phone is covered, the usb port is still accessible? |

Possible to flash a custom kernel on a stock firmware?
Tried wananlite + Perseus Kernel but when I click on the "symbol" button on the keyboard during SMS to show up more symbols, nothing appears. Just a translucent window.
Then Tried ARHD + Perseus Kernel and the same bug appeared. Not sure if its a bug from the ROM they sourced from or from the kernel itself. Flashed back to the original firmware since I noticed no difference when using the custom FW.

Just noticed something.
When my screen is just starting up from reboot , where the "samsung logo" appears, there is a massive black line / splotch at the left side of it. 1 huge line. But when it goes to the normal screen, there is no line. Only when certain grey colors are displayed , the splotch appears.
I downloaded the app : LCD TEST AMOLED from playstore and when the grey color test screen is showed, at full brightness, I can see the black splotch. Other than that it doesn't appear at all.
Did some googling and found that its a common issue with SAMOLED screens as well. Its a manufacturing defect. I am planning to send for warranty but there is a chance that i'll get something worse. Why don't you guys test your units and see if its there?
