from the specs it is just slightly but when i put my old Note and new Note II side by side, Note II really looks much slimmer. Our eyes really can be deceiving.

It depends entirely on your taste and needs. I kinda like the Nillkin hard case. Most likely will settle on it. Initially thinking to use it temporarily and wanted to get those flip case like my previous SGP Valentinus for Note.

yes, charging with your origina ipad charger must be fine. I only have the Note II original charger which is 2A now. All my previous HTC/Samsung charger charging at 1A is really too slow.

for charger, especially so high power as 2A for Note II, i will try to use original charger. Can't risk my 2k device for saving of a few bucks.

been there, done that. I think i am one of the first who brought in the most Otterbox during the HTC Desire HD era.

with the gigantic Note II (compared to tiny Desire HD, of course), with the Otterbox on, it will be way too bulky. The Commuter series wears its silicone on the outside, instead of the hard shell on the outside like Case-mate Tough, it is a real lint-magnet and sometime will stick to your pocket and refuse to come out. The Defender series on the other hand is built like a tank but will be even more bulky. It is only suitable if you are really an outdoor person.

If you are looking for the Commuter series, i suggest you get the Case-mate Tough instead. The Tough's texture and finishing is much better. But for Defender series, there is no replacement - just get it if you need the ultimate protection.

I can tell you 500mA (same as via USB to computer) is really hopeless. You may charge it all night but get 10% only. 1A is still usable for overnight charge. The difference is the same like you are using 1A compared to 500mA charger.

me too. Previously was using HTC and love the Sense UI very much. A bit dislike Samsung TW initially when i first got my Note I. But find it quite ok now with all the useful widget, particularly the S-Planner in month view, a must-have for me.

Nova and Apex is only great on AOKP rom.

how is ARHD4? I have flashed WannaLite, HyperNote and Omega. Not yet try ARHD although it is my favorite ROM for my Desire HD previously.

btw, tried Waze for last 2 days, quite a fun GPS app. Din know GPS nav app can be so lively. But the navigation function is kinda buggy - mis-calculating my route by a lot. Will use it only as a real time traffic feedback source, not going to depend on it for navigation to unknown territory, Papago still far better in navigation.

bought from tskhor, you can check his sales thread at garage. I think he only got 3 sets of the battery + charger at the moment. I highly recommend him - great seller with excellent after sales service. I bought a Tab 7.7 SP from him and it got damaged by the postman. He replaced it FOC, no question asked.

call? quite unusual. We will just receive a sms confirming our warranty registration. Back button no light definitely hardware problem, send back to SC.

factory reset will not help. It will only confirm whether it is a hardware problem. If after factory reset, problem still persist, can send to SC. If everything back to normal, then some settings has screwed up in your Note II.
