QUOTE(fm_hyudin @ Nov 7 2012, 12:31 AM) Any left handed people feeling awkward when writing using stylus ? I feel that it's fine but just that my handwriting seems to be not good. How about other people and right handed people ? You can change your Spen setting from righthander (default) to lefthander. Whichever setting that might suit your handwritting style. |

Duhh..why make comparison when the battery still got 60% left. Let it rundown till 1% left la to know which kernel is better.
But then again..saving battery maybe one of the main feature with certain kernel while others maybe looking for speed and tweaking features. Well..win some..lose some lolz This post has been edited by waveweaver: Nov 7 2012, 05:48 PM |

QUOTE(nicregi @ Nov 7 2012, 05:50 PM) Easy to answer that! Me..? Are you kidding..!!?Cos I am lazy LOL! Just comparing it since....I am so free right now And you know what? I ter-on my NFC for like....1 week and I totally forgotten about it. Anyway, does note 2 still need the full cycle run for battery? I am doing it just once a month. How about you? I go full blast..blaze in glory. Doesn't give a dang bout battery anymore. All features..enable..full speed ahead (except flashlight no need to power on la..later LED burn lolz). Now nearly all my monitoring gadget apps was gone forever. Intend to enjoy this beast fully without any monitoring anymore. Life is too short to spend on monitoring this and tweaking that Added on November 7, 2012, 6:08 pm QUOTE(joytest @ Nov 7 2012, 05:53 PM) IMHO, the note2's battery performance has redeemed all complaints about smartphone battery runtimes. When screens were 3" or so, everyone complained they only got thru half day. Huhh..better shoot the person above your post lolz Now, with a 5.5" screen, it lasts for 8 f'ing hours of SCREEN ON TIME. So wad to complain laaaaaaaaaaa Anyway, my pet peeve is also about people complaining about battery dying midway in office. Dude, you are IN OFFICE. Use a charger or carry a damn cable and plug to your notebook !!! Problem solved. This post has been edited by waveweaver: Nov 7 2012, 06:08 PM |

QUOTE(blackz90 @ Nov 7 2012, 08:21 PM) just curious any rooted user went for warranty claims with no problems after using triangle away to clear counter and reset status? Consider it lucky and good fortune when service centre accept rooted phone for warranty claim. Good preparation also takes into account like do triangleaway first then flash stock firmware back.Legally..rooting void warranty |

QUOTE(blackz90 @ Nov 7 2012, 08:39 PM) so tempted to root, wanna use titanium backup, adaway, swap internal and external, themes(stock theme sucks much) also custom apps for multitaskview. But still have phobia of losing warranty. My htc one x rooted and then LCD got problem after 4 months cannot claim damn pain in the wallet HTC quite strict with rooting. That's why most of its phones come with lock bootloader. Samsung quite lenient in this..with its un-lock bootloader and even gives free S2 to CM Team Hacksung members just to encourage them develop custom rom. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Nov 7 2012, 08:49 PM) Actually, this whole concern about rooting and all.....the modern smartphone in all respects IS a full blown computer. Personally I feel the lockdowns and all only serve to enrich the manufacturers and not empower the users. Before we ask for legalize rooting..i think we need to push for better standard on 1 to 1 replacement policy. Over here it's very difficult to claim replacement if we found defect on the phone within certain period. They always try to repair it first. The US Librarian of Congress has approved for jailbreaking and rooting of smartphones as legal. I suppose in this part of the world, we don't have a watchdog like that to speak on behalf of users to corporations, so we are all living in fear and getting shafted all the time. I wonder if we can petition MCMC/SKMM to legislate on this? I mean, in your standard warranty T&C, your statutory rights are not diminished....sooo......legalized rooting becomes a statutory right.... t |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Nov 7 2012, 09:05 PM) 1 to 1 is something i see not coming. They can save alot by changing only parts. If they do 1 to 1 what are they gonna do with the good part they received back? Unless user dun mind 1 to 1 for refurb units. But why UK and US can have that policy. Some country can even demand for 1 to 1 exchange within one whole month grace period. And one more thing..they can do it without needs any defect on the goods (phone). Enough to say "i'm not satisfied with you product and i demand a refund". And refund they get without any question ask..Here..you talk long long neck or until throw blood also no good. Your claim rejected..we repair it for you first. If cannot then only can replace new one. By that time..months passed away already |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Nov 7 2012, 09:15 PM) If within grace period ok lar. I thought u talking about throughout warranty period. Ehehe..here ar bro..once you step out from the shop..say bye bye for any 1 to 1 replacement.I agree that they should have 1 to 1 xchange for a grace period. Shop straight away push you to service centre and service centre will give millions reason to repair your phone instead of give a new replacement. lolz |

QUOTE(ebackbone @ Nov 7 2012, 09:21 PM) well. pros and cons of having different systems. if all the countries operate the same way, i think nobody is interested to travel already. same building design, same road, same type of car, same language etc etc LOL I dont know bout you but i okay with strict enforcement on piracy. One of the reason our country still dont have Google store or recently only we have apple store here are because rampant piracy. Be it..digital..actual goods or even credit cards.but seriously, it's the way of the current world and there are benefits for us that we don't emulate american system 100% exactly. for example, america have a strong and enforced digital proprietary rights law compared to us. how would you feel waking up in the morning to receive a letter that you are being sued for piracy? if by having the 1 to 1 exchange within 30 days entails having the strong digital proprietary rights, would you still want to ask for it? Ohh my..sorry for off topic rumbling |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Nov 7 2012, 09:32 PM) Thinking from a customer poi yes u are right But the actual question here is...why US and UK can while we cannot. We also buy the phone with our hard earn cash. We dont get it free. So why the double standard. But from business poi of view its not right Just imagine if they have 100 units if 50 ppl complaint they must take that 50 to samsung for warranty and always restock more just for 1 to 1 exchange the cost of holding this stock who gonna bare? Are u gonna bare their up front cost? Then this will be also big issue for samsung to repair those units just imagine if 10 outlets 50 complaints to 1 to 1 exchange that's like 500 units that's like rm2299 x 500 = 1, 149, 500 Then samsung must hire lots of technician to just fix that 500 units and the phone value it self already more than 1 million excluding their technician salary, electricity and parts Maybe we dont need the very same policy. But atleast give us something like 72 hours grace period. No refunds just because you dont like the product but can can a replacement for any defects. Should be enough if we can get even that lolz |
