Sven's always been more of a carry than anything else.

If Sven can do the Gangnam Style while laning it would be nice....

Sven's a legit carry with its skill.

I thought cleave was buffed? Or I didnt play him so long until I forgot his 70% cleave skill

sven is played as a support because he didnt scale well compare to agility heroes. He need a lot of item to grow rather than agility heroes than only need little item to improve their EHP.

Agility increase = armor/attackspeed/damage
Strength increase = hp/damage

Armor scale well late game, and while hp just making ur beefier but not that tank.

The trend now, is sven pick as support because of the warcry makes creep beefier to tank the tower. Last night in G1, sven was pick as carry for dk, but they lose this game. Sven is so damn risky to pick as a carry but he's high risk high reward type of heroes.

ok , just my opinion on SVEN

i'll make him ganker or sypport on the earlier stage . because this is item dependent hero.... not suitable to go rush on early stage.
he lack attack speed and cannot be left alone to farm as it might turned ugly on later stage with critical and mom.

i've put Sven and Magnus in the same category.

sven and magnus is very flexible hero. tats all i can say.

am3rr summarised everything nicely for a discussion, thats why I was surprised why people picked Sven as hard carry these days.

Sven's 70% cleave is no laughing matter as well. If you put him in a long lane, and you make him farm he can be scary with Armlet, MoM and Critz. He doesnt need to gank if you have other heroes who can also do that but his AOE stun is valuable.

I've seen full cleave and full warcry build with only two levels in stun for hard carry sven.

had a try-hard sven on my side yesterday. Didn't go well. Ended up every team fight he got focused down and enemy just kite him when he comes near
