Erkk..Google Now got nothing to do with H+ signal. If Google Now enable..it keep collecting data in the background. So it keep your wakelocks and drain battery. Fast dormany different story but with same result. By default our phone signal keep jumping 3G, H, H+ depends on the network signal strength. Again this will cause wakelocks and use battery juice. By disable fast dormancy..the signal stick only to H..

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Nov 2 2012, 08:53 PM) Yup..should be. After disable..your signal icon will stick to H only. No more jumping 3G..H..H+. Pro : save battery and eliminate wakelocks. Cons : downloading quite slow as no more H+ toggling this on mean it is no longer beneficial even when we are in HSPA+ area aite? coz the maximum we can get is HSDPA speed, aite? considering this option. my phone's batt damn fast la drain now. can't get more than 3.5h screen time.

Was prompted by the phone to upgrade to JB 4.1.1.
After upgrading this afternoon OTA which actually did not take long, niggling problems start to arise.
1. Hung a couple of times. 2. Does not sleep even though set to do so. Have to restart phone. 3. Lags when opening phone and message functions.
Though can feel it is faster in certain aspects, from my experience thus far and some forummers here, 4.1.1 is still unstable.

For 3 yes but somehow it's getting better, no more lag and it's very smooth now for me. The only problem left is battery draining issue. Definitely drains faster than when I'm on ICS.

It's always advisable to wipe clean or factory reset after doing major upgrades (exp : GB > ICS > JB). This will greatly reduceany problematic issue between firmware changes. My JB so far works great without any problem such as freezing or FC

This will greatly reduceany problematic issue between firmware changes. My JB so far works great without any problem such as freezing or FC In view of the problems mentioned I did do a factory reset and reinstalled my apps. Despite that those problems are still hanging around. I also forgot to mention the faster battery drain.
