What did they say when u sent in?
*
He didn't say anything. I just told that my friend updated for me via Kies, then suddenly the screen go blank.
He tried to power on the device by holding the 3 buttons to go to download mode & try different battery but to no success.
Then he said it will be done within 3-5 days.

Dented S3? Bought from directd also? Open da box infront of them. Check receipt 1st it stated original SME S3 or what. For future reference.

Im sure my S3 is original. I've check warranty using IMEI throught SMS to Samsung. Registered IMEI
*
Yeap. I just read the comment at the thread.
Maybe his set is AP set? I dunno.

What's the number to check IMEI? I tried but no reply.

Hard bricked. Couldnt power on, cannot go to download or recovery modes, cannot charge.
I found the solution on youtube, but it required u to open the back & screws of the S3.

Added on November 6, 2012, 3:32 pmAnyway guys, finally decided to go for a UAG case.

Anyone know any seller in Malaysia?
*
I'm interested with UAG case also.
I'm going to LA this 19th, and the UAG HQ is 30mins drive from Anaheim.
Wonder if i can just go there and buy? hmm.gif

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but before upgrading to Jellybean, when the screen times out, I just press the home button and the screen wakes up, and goes to the app I'm currently using.

But after upgrading to JB, when I press the home button, it does not wake up the screen, rather it closes the app and goes to the home screen.

Is this a bug? Or is there a fix?
*
I dunno whether it's a bug or a new feature. It's normal.

I'm temped to flash WanamLite but after my experience before (hard bricked after flashing it), i'm a bit paranoid. sweat.gif

I saw in his post, he wrote,
"My Roms do not include older libsec-ril library and it won't include it.
So if your Device IS NOT factory unlocked and you use Voodoo app to unlock it, DO NOT flash my newest Roms, use my V1.8 instead.
"

What does that mean?

It says that if your phone is not fsctory unlocked ( like those phones sell in USA), and you use Voodoo app tp unlock, this version is not right for you.

So, question now is...if your phone is ap or sme, it is fine to flash. If you buy from other country such as USA or UK, best dont flash.
*
Ohh. Thanks!
I have the SME set, bought from BlueCube. lol
Still wondering why my s3 hard bricked after flashing wanamlite 4.2.1. It booted up normally.
Is it because i downloaded it through S3 and not PC? hmm.gif

S3 will bricked for no reason. Taiwan got 30 cases whereby S3 bricked after updated to JB... smile.gif
*
Wow. Even my fragile Asus Prime can tahan flashing many times. biggrin.gif
Alright. Maybe i'll flash it tonight.
Interested to flash because it got "more free RAM". With stock JB, i always have 150mB or less of free RAM.
I know in android, "free RAM means useless RAM".

Glasszone Tempered Glass SP sold to my friend........now his phone has the complete protection.....
Temepered glass SP make it much smoother feel compare to film SP, easier to clean smudge too.....
UAG does not add bulk to the phone and it manage to make the phone feels lighter too.
*
Where did u buy the UAG case?

now using wanamlite 4.3 feel the battery quite drain
didn't do anything, use the phone only 3hours+
screen time on 17 minute
and now left 93% =_=
*
I realized that too.
Used ARHD before, batt life was great.
Also RAM seems so low compared to other ROMs.
