QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Nov 10 2012, 06:24 PM) lol they won't help user to restore back ? Why would they want to do that...? Service centre priority is to make sure your phone runs without problems. Not babysitting your datas which are not in their list of service scope. lolz

QUOTE(StarSaber @ Nov 10 2012, 08:21 PM) After 2 days of sleepless night, suddenly this eve my s3 detected the micro sd card. Thank god! Now are finding ways to why eventhough already can save photo in sd card, but it fail to find the other file i.e. photo, songs or video store in there. Anyone can help? For future update sake, is there any good back up app & sms/mms app out there? Currently using app monster pro. It can back up the app but when restoring, all the save game, data gone...while my sms back up app completely fail me (ritesh something the name of the dvlpr). You using SMS Backup and Restore by Ritesh Sahu is it..? Try Super Backup by Mobile Idea Studio. So far i've no problem restore all my sms..logs..bookmarks..contacts. For apps..it will only backup the apk but not data. Only by rooting and use Titanium Backup..you can restore back all your data including games data.

QUOTE(jusjus88 @ Nov 11 2012, 08:06 PM) any idea how do i clear the cache? because i think each application has it's own individual setting "Clear Cache/Clear Memory" so means everything i want to clear , i have to go into the app individually? or there's a "clear All" function What cache you want to cleared. If browser..can be cleared inside the browser itself. Most apps just leave the cache be so it can be open faster especially gallery.

QUOTE(villa07 @ Nov 12 2012, 07:03 PM) Planning to sell my precious SGS3 in exchange for Nexus 4. Price RM1.5k including Trident Aegis case. Used 3 months. How's the price? Okay or not? Sell it at RM1.4K without the casing and you will getting buyer much faster. After doing a lot of selling..i found buyer prefer low price then buy their own new casing. Brand new price nowdays is down to RM1.6K already.

QUOTE(YouDontKnowMyName @ Nov 12 2012, 08:41 PM) i find that sometimes when i toss my phone on the bed, the SD card will unmount and then re-mount itself too. even though it's not a great height or a great distance. just a tiny bit of a thump is enough to unmount the SD card It shouldn't be like that. Maybe your ext sdcard slot got something loose..? Why not bring your phone to service centre and tell them about your situation. You ext sdcard can get corrupted if suddenly went un-mount while in the middle of transfering data or files lolz

QUOTE(Violet Ling @ Nov 12 2012, 11:44 PM) my phone is not rooted.. i wanted to do a backup of my gallery, apps+data, songs, contacts etc..cos i wanna factory reset my phone.. any backup apps(FOC) recommend? For un-rooted phone you cannot do data backup (example : your games app scores) but you can backup the games apk. Use AndroZip File Manager to do all your apps apk backup. For contacts you can use Gmail itself or use Super Backup appto do backup on contacts..logs..sms..bookmarks. i think this Super Backup app also can do your apps apk backup. For songs..photos..videos..you can use external sdcard.

QUOTE(IhaveNoNameOK @ Nov 12 2012, 11:59 PM) Question. Need to do full wipe before switching ROM? Is it mandatory ? Switching custom or stock roms..? Custom roms - read at that custom rom thread instruction. Stock roms - for same version (JB to JB) no need to do full wipe. Enough by doing wipe cache and dalvik.

~~@ Mr.rickk Factory reset WONT wipe/delete anything from your external sdcard. Same result with full wipe using CWM wont touch your external sdcard either. Btw..avoid calling other user WEII..WOII..or same sort. It's rude you know...

QUOTE(lucifer_666 @ Nov 13 2012, 03:16 AM) which source file do you mean? the downloaded OTA? is that even possible? should i do factory reset and retry OTA? or sammobile is the only option left for me? Easiest way..go to service centre and ask them to help flashing Jellybeans firmware for you. It's free of charge

QUOTE(lucifer_666 @ Nov 13 2012, 09:08 AM) would they mind if its rooted? or have to unroot it first and do backup of everything? If you already rooted..flash manually the firmware via Odin. Get the firmware from Sammobile.com
