Going to be 10,000km for my Saga any time now. Should I:

1. go to Proton SC
2. buy my own stuff and pay pomen labour charge oni

Really can't decide please help guys

Do you wanna keep your warranty?

I want to, but my wallet is very slim for this month (bills, change hometown, new work). What would be the price if maintenance at SC? RM450+?

10k km mana datang RM450  shakehead.gif

For semi-syn, total around RM130, won't be more than RM150 as long as you keep to the 3 essential items only.
*
What? I pay RM195 for 1,000km, and 5,000km at Proton Glenmarie (without ticking off any of the items). Tell me what to do for this first major service o great sifus~

Since no more free labour after 10k km, you can go for fully syn so you can skip the 15k km service and save a hundred bucks.

However, make sure they don't give you 15w-50 engine oil, always ask first. Using fully syn should be slightly more than RM200 for 10k service..

Don't use 15w 50 engine oil, then what oil should I use then?

Anything that is lower, as long as it is fully-syn (assuming you want fully syn).

Can give me an example? So I can use it when doing maintenance. Very, very appreciate it for all your replies rclxms.gif

Just remember to replace that 3 items I mentioned only. The rest are NOT NECESSARY.

20k km will be major service so that's another story.
*
So, for major service should I continue do it in SC? Like just list off several items in the list SC provides later on?

A friend, also a Saga FL owner, installed autolock to his car while still under warranty. And this autolock is not the OEM one, this is the cheaper one. So he asks me if his car can still get service at SC and free labour charge?

Would the autolock void the warranty?

not the plug and play one ka?

He said he bought it at RM30. As far as I know, OEM is RM45-RM55 including installation. And the pomen lift the bonnet cover some more.

Dont say cut wire, even plug and play but if you don't cabut when claim warranty for related parts, they won't let you claim.
As for my friend's 5k km service, would the free labour charge still applicable if the autolock detected? Let's say warranty for wiring sure gone, but the 3 time labour charge free at SC is still applicable right?

Free labour service has nothing to do with warranty, don't worry.

Mine also last time they install non-oem ABL.
Use it for 2 months and i cant stand with the problem where the alarm remote radius become less than 3 meters.

And sometime need to press the brake harder only then it lock the door.

Bring to the shop and then only then they change it to the oem one.

For the first one i notice it is not plug and play
*
Your shop install how much the OEM abl? Seksyen 15 Shah Alam quoted me RM90 for OEM abl. Mau simpan duit~~~
