guys.. wanna ask about wiper since someone started on that issue..
i googled some articles and they are all saying that ideally wipers should be changed every 6 months..

but what are the "symptoms" to have our wipers changed?

Yup, yu got that right, Bro.....ideally is the important word!!  icon_rolleyes.gif

Practically? No.  tongue.gif

Wat Bro AmeiN posted is a practical answer... rclxms.gif
Ideally? Brake fluid shld b changed every 2 years; all hoses also every 2 years; then there's the time oeriod or Km travelled, whichever is earlier thingey; etc., etc....

Practically? Go with the actual condition of the item concerned. Hv it chk-ed. If condition is still good/ok, let it be.

That's Rule of Thumb 2follow....practically.... thumbup.gif

well.. i've no idea what a broken wipers do during rain.. so i think i'm gonna buy a new pairs and replace them to look at the difference..
even if the ori sets are fine but i think i can keep either pair as spare..

any things that i need to look into?

eg: what brand? what size? silicon/rubber? any special things to look out for?

asrul, do you FUELLY? If yes, would you mind to share? If not, can you please start 1? With a series of data will be easier for us to assess your driving pattern VS actual FC. I personally don't believe any GaGa can consume more then 10km/litre. IINM, you have trouble filling your top bar most of the time as it will only appear 5 box on the indicator most of the time, correct? Do you know even the fuel pump auto disengaged, you can still manually pump in slowly to add in another litre or more, to fill it to the brim? nod.gif

If I leave it auto disengage when filling up, most of the time my 1st bar can only last 30km. However, if I push in until petrol spill out, I can do about 70km on the 1st bar laugh.gif Regular/mostly town driving lar, but drive like oppa apek style icon_idea.gif
*
dabid.. for my case.. i think my main problem is the "susah-ness" to agak how much petrol i have to pump in every time i go refuel..
it's kind of hard to estimate how much exactly we have to pump in, in order to fuel up until the petrol leaks out to the petrol cap there..

and i'm too scared to drive until the light blink blink shocking.gif
ended up i always pump RM38 as soon as possible when my petrol JUST dropped to 2 bars left

mind to shed some lights on this?

thanks notworthy.gif

I have a colleague does exactly, RM38 for 20litres of petrol laugh.gif If you wanna do that, keep doing it. Just record it on FUELLY, don't check the partial fuel up. Everytime treat it as FULL TANK despite its only 20 litres. You don't care what happen, as long as lights are up, you go fuel up RM38. Over a few months like accumulated some 30 fuel up data, you'll have a very reliable AVERAGE KM/LITRE reading.

For example, after some 30 fuel ups you get your average KM/LITRE as 12km/l

Now you know every RM38 you can averagely get 20x12, thats like 240km. Give and take 40km cruising spree + traffic jam, you certainly know your RM38 can do atleast 200km ~ 220km before it lights up the next time icon_idea.gif
Pull the tip out a little bit, then be very careful so it wont spill sleep.gif

ah.. ini manyak enlightening..
my avg is only 10.8km/L
i think that's because of my right foot kut.. coz always kena drive through those guard house with palang to scan the security card.. kena stop often on a slope.. ended up kena accelerate more to get the car moving.. doh.gif

More or less the same like mine lar. can see it from my fuelly geh. BTW, your fuel up 2~5, 28~29 checked with partial fuel up jor. Go and edit, uncheck it. Meanwhile, delete your 1st fuel up also since your KM did not record because you just got the car.

I can see your car started to run in. It used to be 9km/litre laugh.gif What you worry? Just go and pump RM38 every time from now on. 10.8 x 20 = 216km per fill up. So, around 180~200 you'll be expecting fuel warning indicator liao icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks so much.. tongue.gif

A little tip, when moving from standstill on a slope, pull the handbrake and release the footbrake, wait for the clutch to engage, then release the handbrake and tap the throttle to move forwards.

When you release the footbrake, the clutch is not immediately closed, so if your press on the throttle you are basically free-revving the engine and wasting fuel. But the clutch does not open with handbrake, so you can use the handbrake to prevent rolling backwards while waiting for the clutch to close.
*
yea this way can avoid burning the clutch also.. coz most people like to balance between throttle and clutch on slopes..
