unlike the 360, there's no official vga cable for the xbox, u need to use a vga box (converts composite video to vga signal) but from what i see in the market (i'm in Penang anyway), these vga boxes pic quality are crap (IMHO). I'd rather go for this: X2VGA, u'll get HD resolution.

Anyhow, u might wanna checkout the [VGA Box] guides thread at DjiNn Game Shop

I dunno, but the one i bought have acceptable quality...dunno what's the name...Super Component VGA connector?? Comes in a white box and works with PS2 and XBOX. It uses component cable for best quality possible, and is definitely much better than those using composite cables. But of course, it is still not perfect but for me, playing PS2 on it is quite okay and i've tried a few XBOX games and it's quite acceptable.

Only around RM120 if i remember correctly.

I think what you need is highlighted at the following website, see if you order it online from PlayAsia or any other online shop.

Team Xbox VGA Cable for 360

I think this even supports really high resultions and got a very high quality rating (see below)

QUOTE
If you have a PC monitor, the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV cable is a must have accessory. For the first time Microsoft is offering a first-party VGA cable that directly takes the raw AV data from the AV port and outputs to VGA. In the past we had to rely on third-party transcoders that would transform the component video into VGA, which implied an additional transformation of the original signal.

This time, the VGA signal comes directly from the console just as the rest of the video signals provided by the composite, S-Video and component cables.

The quality of the cable is good, the length is long enough for the majority of the setups, and the fact that the cable includes both surround sound and stereo outputs, makes this AV cable a great peripheral that is suitable for many users.

We welcome Microsoft's decision to offer a VGA first-party cable and we hope this is the first of the many cables that the company makes in response to the consumers' petition. Now the only thing we need is a DVI-HDMI cable and you won't hear our cries anymore, Bill.

i got some for sale, rm 60.00 i bought it from HK.
pm me if you need. going to pass it to my fren soon.

Got optical output, i ran it on 24" LCD, works ok so far.

Ideally HDMI still the best connection, but the HDMI display are very rare and expensive in malaysia.
