This phone is a downright steal, considering the specs, if it were in any other none nexus phone the rrp would be around 2k give or take 200rm. For such a cheap price 1,5k and below its a definite must buy....however iam a bit worried, for Google to sell it for so cheap they must be cutting corners some where...

LG retail phone shops are hard to come by in Malaysia...there are two places that i knw of...one located in sunway pyramid, the section with all the computer and phone stuff and there is another in times square, but its been closed for 2 weeks now, not sure if its still in business

LG phone..lack of support and accessory..thats how I felt with O2x

True,, that is one thing that's going against nexus 4 at the moment...LG phones have very limited presence in Malaysia. its just nowhere near as big as the other brands htc, Samsung and apple. does anyone have any experience with warranty claims with LG Malaysia?

Iam not sure what you mean by that, the wireless charger is sold separately. From all unboxing videos i have seen, the retail unit comes with usb charger and sim remover tool only....no earphones or any extras like that

Yup, LG shouldn't ever try to practice the "iPhone price"..
*
haha...if that turns out 2 b true, LG will have no doubt shot itself in the foot. it just wont make any sense to sell in at that price considering the well known fact that Google is selling the phone at half the price in selected countries. It makes one wonder how do these what kind of reasoning these CEO and managers have. Considering the bad reputation LG has already, you would think they would do everything in their power to regain the trust of consumers.

at 2299, i guarantee you this phone will not sell.

if anything above rm 1500 i won't consider, we can buy in sg right ?
*
the thing is the $299 and $349 price is only for the subsidized play store price. one reason Google sells it for so cheap is with the intent to recoup profits by ads and people making purchases through the play store. there are only 7 countries in which the phone can be purchased through the play store. these countries are, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada, UK and US. If your country doesn't have the play store, how is Google to recoup their costs.

if you live outside these 7 countries you will be at the mercy of LG... LG being a multinational corporation exists solely for the purpose of making a profit and pleasing their shareholders, so they will price their products according. One thing for sure LG will not sell the nexus 4 at anything lower than 1500RM

google recoup profit from ad n play store purchase ? u look down at google, they don't bother on google play profit yet, what they care is market share, that is different between giant company and tiny company thought ...

They aim for longer term, not current,
*
Dude market share means nothing if your profit margins are razor thin, its simple business...your company needs to generate a healthy income and grow. Google sells low to encourage people to buy who in turn will utilize their playstore

I don't think the price in Malaysia will go below RM1.5k for new smart phone .. normally new launches, the retailers will sell @ RM2099 minimum for a nexus ...

unless you're saying it's a motorola brand then it's different la
*
exactly my point...this is Malaysia we are talking about...below 1500rm seems too good to be true...looking at the specs there is nothing that comes close to the nexus 4, i don't see retailers selling it for so cheap irrespective of the playstore price.

the only way nexus 4 will sell below 1500rm is if LG malaysia itself decides to sell it at that price, which i doubt will happen

LG has already stated it will most likely sell for €599 outside the playstore in Europe

By Christmas, according to LG Malaysia. 1 more month +.
*
I doubt this very much....i think we will see the lg optimus g long before LG officially announce the nexus. I feel it makes more sense on LG to release their own optimus G then later after a few months bring in the nexus 4....LG have a bad reputation for not living up to their promises

They will release BOTH devices during Christmas. Unless you work for LG, otherwise don't just make assumptions. You may refer here: LG Malaysia Facebook

I can make all the assumptions, comments and thoughts i want...this is an free and open public forum. I am just stating what i think, whether or not it happens that's another matter altogether. U don't have to agree with me and i accept that. i want LG to release the nexus phone soon just as much as everyone on this forum.

Latest from play store - nexus 4 16gb now ships in 6-7 weeks.  Waiting time getting longer. 8GB model remains at 8-9 week timeframe

Nexus 4 bumper is still out of stock.  Damn!!
*
that's almost a 2month delay for both models...i really wonder how this will affect the stated Christmas launch by LG Malaysia...I just have a feeling we wont be seeing the nexus 4 officially in Malaysia anytime this year...maybe Jan or Feb...but that's just my opinion
