Hey seniors, I am on the verge of buying nexus 4 but kinda disappointed with the battery life and might be considering the note2.
Mind if you guys try to persuade me back to nexus 4?
Treat me like a 3-year-old please. I never root a phone before and is it the right term? I have no idea what it meant...
What are the major difference between stock android and the note2 android? Vanilla vs Touchwizz is it? What are the major difference?
Once again, treat me like a toddler, dont bash me please. Thanks.

I read this and the only things that I pick up is:
1. you can install forbiddened apps
2. you are now a superuser that can do what stock android set as safety limitation
3. redesign the theme?

http://www.redmondpie.com/why-should-i-roo...hone-or-tablet/if your eyes are functioning properly, u should see that touchpiss is a really ugly UI, the fonts are ugly, the design is ugly, it doesn't do that beautiful screen justice until u flash it with a different rom or use a launcher to cover it up completely.
secondly, touchpiss WILL LAG eventually no matter how many cores it has (not just with Samsung, HTC One X also the same). when u first got the phone, it's empty, so WOW IT'S SO FUCXING SMOOTH!!! but after 2-3 months when u fill up the space in it with tons of apps and stuff, the phone will feel the weight because touchpiss is already very heavy with bloatware and useless apps that samsung installed. do u know y all the new samsung comes out with 2gb of RAM? it's not by choice, it's a freaking necessity for their devices. the Nexus 4 has 2gb of RAM because its the next step for a flagship phone, the Note 2 has 2gb because it NEEDS it to function properly or else u will just complain why the phone hangs so often. This is where Vanilla android comes in, i'm using it on my Desire HD, a single core phone 2 years old, with tons of stuff in it (my 16gb sd card almost full, and has almost 50 apps) and the performance embarrasses the stock touchpiss Note 1 and Galaxy S2.
thirdly, u know when iphone users say they will get newest updates together with the rest of the world? Same in the Nexus line (except for some US phones that are locked). there is bound to be one day that your friend who has a Nexus (preferably the old old Nexus S) will ask you (who bought the Note 2) did you get newest (major) update yet? he / she got it yesterday! but u will still need to wait 2-3 months for your 'flagship' samsung touchpiss phone. it hasn't happen yet (or u won't be considering the Note 2), until u experienced the frustration of not getting the newest updates, u won't know the pain.
and finally, if u get the Note 2, u will be the same as the rest of those millions of ppl out there who has the same huge piece of plastic, just like the iphone users. it's not really unique and special anymore. the best thing about the Nexus (in malaysia at least) is that almost nobody knows about it. go to any phone stall or shop and ask, even they don't know. I've tried a few times with my LG O2X (my 2nd phone), and showed it to those ppl, they were shocked because it's very unique, special and the screen is just nicer to look at than the fake SAMOLED colours. and when u hold an LG phone, u will feel it's so well built, not just 2 thin plastics hamburgered together the motherboard, stick a samsung badge (and huge price tag) on it and call it a flagship phone.
