It takes more than LTE chip and hacks to enable LTE.

latest news about LTE on nexus 4 :: LG claims "4G LTE capabilities but is only effective when combined with other essential hardware parts such as a signal amplifier and filter in order for it to work. It therefore cannot be upgraded to 4G LTE capability through software. "

lol...dont all nexus (7 & galaxy nexus) do not support out of the box? nothing new right?
just root and install stick mount

if i'm not mistaken, nexus 7 do support OTG out of the box, just plug in your xbox 360 controller(wired) and you're ready to play....only the wireless controller need to setup first

you are mistaken, aosp android never had native usb otg support.
need to use root app called stickmount

nexus 7 confirm no otg support right out of the box, i have nexus 7 and without stickmount app, nothing will happen when you plug a pendrive to it.

samsung touch wiz has otg support out of the box, but if you flash aosp rom like cyanogenmod or aokp,
no more native otg support, also need stickmount app.

nothing new that aosp dont support otg natively.
all nexus user knows that, and its not a problem, since root is easy and stickmount app is free.

My bad then, sory sweat.gif
thanks for clearing it up notworthy.gif

I don't understand why ppl expect USB OTG out of the box. This clearly shows that they didn't know Nexus devices well enough that they don't know all previous Nexus-es do not support USB OTG out-of-the-box.

That's a feature only natively provided and added into their ROMs by 3rd party manufacturers like Samsung and HTC.

Nexus ain't a phone for normal user that don't root brows.gif

I know I might get flamed but yea... That's what Nexus was meant to be! Even though Google is pushing it towards a casual phone for a casual user but without modding it, don't expect to get full use of the hardware brows.gif

If you can't accept the truth that you had to root your phone and void your warranty (maybe not with Nexus devices) just to use some of the features readily available in normal phone like S3 or One X. This clearly tells you Nexus is not for you. Time to look into other phones wink.gif

I'm ready to be flamed whistling.gif

*A bit haywire after I thought I killed my Galaxy Nexus biggrin.gif It revived though brows.gif *

lol...it's not that i'm afraid to root, just sharing some news and thought.....would it be nice if the function is already there.

p/s :: even if there's OTG out of the box, will also root, seems like no use using android phone if didn't root tongue.gif

There ARE a lot of ppl using Android phone out of the box. Then complain lag laaa complain why cannot this laaa why cannot that laaaa. Then when you ask them to root it... "What is that???", their first question for you...
Then my answer normally is... "Something like jailbreak!"... Weird??? They know what is jailbreak (because jailbreak can let them play more games, you know I know la... But I don't own iOS device so I don't know how to jailbreak) but they don't know what is Root. Then the further we go, we ask them to flash custom ROM. Then the question becomes :"Got risk arh? Warranty how arh? If broken how arh??"

Anyway, I still managed to make few friends to start with rooting, some proceed to flash kernel, some proceed to flash custom ROM brows.gif

haha, same here....most of my friend is using android phone, but never know what "root" is sweat.gif
i also manage to poison them to root, but then they all come back to me and ask me to root it for them >.<'
til now i already root htc desire hd, hd pro, oneX, samsung galaxy ace, galaxy y, galaxy sII......and almost brick one of my friend sII sweat.gif
