the price maybe lower since LG market in Malaysia was not so 'high' like Samsung but the waiting time that make us felt miserable..need to wait around January then can buy it..(based on GNex launch time)

Nexus 4 8GB + Cloud Storage (Dopbox and Google Drive) would be the best way i can enjoy latest nexus device with less budget. I hope the LG built quality are on par or better than Samsung.

I had contact Newegg MY about importing in Nexus 4 from overseas, but there is a problem about the SIRIM approval. They dont know how much each phone will be charges for that approval before they can be imported in.

if i ask my fren bring in cos he is coming back from US tis dec, put inside luggage will kena check?

if he claim it as a gift i think can lepas punya. Or claim that phone is owned by him. Dont put inside the box.

Got info, the duty import for bringing in Gadget, Device from outside wont cause too much compared to the "jack price" by local distributors. biggrin.gif

Based on my calculation if this phone being imported from overseas and direct to user is much cheaper compared to buy from local distributors but the bad side would be warranty.

Phone RM1082 (USD 349) + AP Sirim Approval RM215 + RM108.20 (10% Custom Tax) + RM 1.00 (SIRIM sticker) = RM1406.20 + RM50 (Estimate courier price from Newegg MY) = RM 1456.20

lol even if optimus g cheaper or on par with nexus, i still won't choose LG.
they are very slow in updating OS. In this case, probably making the update available for LG phones.
at least for nexus, u get it direct from google.  laugh.gif

i also coming from apple background
the 3gs era
this is my first android phone
hopefully it is as good as iphone's ownership experience, if not better  rclxms.gif

One thing you dont know as you come from apple. whistling.gif
LG only manufacture the hardware of Nexus 4, all the software will come DIRECT from GOOGLE. thumbup.gif
No involvement of LG anymore. So, u dont need to worry about all the update. tongue.gif
